Outdoor Living Skills, Outdoor Education, and Nature Immersion are all important parts of our curriculum at Camp Sealth.
At Sealth, you will be out on the water all summer long. Come be a lifeguard and dive into the fun!
Counselors at Camp Sealth will lead a cabin of 8-10 campers for a week filled with fun and memories.

Are you ready to spend your summer outdoors? Do you have a passion for working with children? Camp Sealth is for you! We are committed to providing an excellent summer camp experience for children of diverse backgrounds and abilities.

Camp Sealth is located on Vashon Island, WA in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. The 400 acre property includes over a mile of saltwater beach on Puget Sound, plus evergreen forests, wetlands, and wildlife.

About Camp Sealth

Camp Sealth is a gender inclusive resident and day camp serving youth ages 4 to 17. Owned by Camp Fire Central Puget Sound, Sealth's mission is to build caring, confident youth, and future leaders. Located on 400 acres of waterfront on Vashon Island, WA, Sealth is rich in forest, wetland, and marine environments. Each session, campers participates in activities including:

  • Horseback Riding
  • Archery
  • Arts and Crafts
  • Waterfront: Canoeing, Rowing, Kayaking, Fishing, Swimming,
  • Hiking, Backpacking/Camping, Outdoor Living Skills & Nature/Environmental Studies

Season Dates:

Leadership Positions and Program Team Training will begin June 10th
Specialist Training begins June 16th 
All Staff Training begins June 19th

Camp ends on August 27th for all positions, except for leadership positions.
Leadership Positions will end on August 28th

Extended start dates and end dates are possible depending on position and interest!

Room and Board

Room and Board is provided for all staff.
Staff housing is in cabins with 1-2 roommates.

Bath Houses are located nearby with plenty of hot water.

Healthy, kid-friendly meals are provided 3 times a day, eaten family-style in our dining hall.
Our kitchen staff can accommodate many special diets - and we are a peanut-free facility.

Snacks are provided daily and leftovers are available on weekends. Staff also have access to kitchens around camp.

Laundry facilities are available free of charge. Detergent is provided.

Staff shirt, staff lounges, and wi-fi all available.

It's not every day you get to live right on the waterfront. Our unique location allows us to provide a wide variety of activity options for both work and play.

Camp is hard work, but it's also incredibly fun and rewarding! You get to play, laugh and grow alongside your campers and fellow staff. 

Getting Here and Getting Around

We are located on the beautiful Vashon Island in Washington. Vashon is only accessible by ferry from either Tacoma or West Seattle. We offer airport pick-up and drop-off at the beginning and end of the summer.

Cars are the recommended way to get around Vashon Island, but if you won't have a car with you this summer don't worry! We are a family here and people are always willing to drive others into town or beyond.

For Fun

Camp Sealth is about 20 minutes away from town, which offers 2 grocery stores, a pharmacy, movie theater, farmers market and other fun attractions. The island has many parks and hiking trails. Seattle is about 45 minutes away and the Cascade and Olympic mountains are an easy day-trip away.
