Server/Bartender

Electric Mountain Lodge is a premier wilderness getaway destination north of Paonia, Colorado, nestled in the heart of the Colorado Rockies. Guests come from all over the world to snowmobile, fish, hunt, hike, and explore the majestic beauty of our surroundings.

We are looking for a server/bartender for our onsite restaurant, Second Brake Bar & Grill!

Highlights of this position include:

• Mixing ingredients to prepare cocktails and other drinks.
• Taking orders and serving food and beverages.
• Pouring wine and beer.
• Collecting payments and operate a cash register.
• Using a POS system.
• Checking identification of customers to make sure they meet age requirements for the purchase of alcohol.
• Determining when a customer has had too much alcohol.
• Cleaning up after customers and cleaning your work area.
• Arranging bottles and glasses to make attractive displays.
• Washing glassware and utensils after each use.
• Stocking and maintaining bar supplies.
• Answering customers' questions and providing information about the Lodge.
• Maintaining elevated customer service standards.
• Other support duties as assigned within the bar and restaurant, including bussing, dishwashing, cleaning, etc.
• Shared housing is provided.
• One staff meal per shift.

Skill Requirements:

• High School Diploma
• Honest, friendly, and enthusiastic with great customer service skills; actively looks for ways to create five-star guest experiences.
• Able to handle multiple tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Professional and positive in all interactions
• Ability to recognize when a problem has occurred and communicate it to management
• A team player, willing to jump in and help others and provide support when needed

Physical and Mental Requirements:

• Knowledge of presenting and delivering alcoholic beverages professionally
• Knowledge of proper food handling and preparation standards
• Able to communicate and work with other employees and assist the guests
• Must be able to see, hear, and verbally communicate with regular frequency
• Must be able to work in a food preparation environment with applicable chemicals and materials
• Must be able to walk, sit, and stand on hard surfaces for extended periods of time
• Must be able to kneel, crawl, bend and twist at waist on an occasional basis
• Must be able to reach at, above and below shoulder height with regular frequency
• Must be able to push, pull, carry and lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds on a regular basis, and greater weights on an occasional basis
