Paradise Valley, Montana could be your home for the summer! The right candidate, great at working with their hands with a can-do attitude, will enjoy a summer in their own little mountain cabin — yes, room and board are included with this position from May to mid-September!

Luccock Park Camp, Inc. is seeking a groundskeeper/camp support worker for our 2024 summer season. This person will be tasked with mowing, watering, trimming, weeding and otherwise maintaining our 9-acre grassy meadow and surrounding terrain. Besides the greenery, our groundskeeper will keep camp looking spick and span by regularly taking out garbage and recycling. 

Additional "camp support" duties will vary — the right candidate will be flexible and willing to accomplish any task put before them. This will include housekeeping our dining hall (taking out trash, sweeping, mopping, end-of-shift kitchen cleaning), bathroom cleaning, distributing firewood, organizing recreation equipment, and more. You'll work collaboratively with and take instruction directly from our on-site Camp Director.

With hard work comes great reward at Luccock Park Camp. We're a relatively small nonprofit camp/retreat center located at the base of the Absaroka Mountains in Paradise Valley, Montana. Our rustic cabins arranged around the expansive meadow play host to hundreds of guests each summer, from all kinds of backgrounds! 

You're a proper fit for a summer at Luccock if you have a strong work ethic, a kind heart, a team-player spirit and a taste for adventure — we are, after all, only a short drive north of Yellowstone National Park, a short walk to the trailhead of a stunning 12-mile round-trip hike to an alpine lake, and right at the center of mountain living.

We have a nearly new zero-turn lawnmower, in addition to a variety of riding and push mowers, trimmers and more. We have the tools — you bring the muscle!

Here are some qualities that will help you stand out above other candidates for this job:

• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds without risk to self
• Experience operating riding/zero-turn lawnmowers and spin trimmers
• Experience with fixing/maintaining groundskeeping equipment (mowers, trimmers, etc.)
• Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively as a team player
