The Kay El Bar Ranch is an authentic western dude ranch in the foothills of Arizona’s Bradshaw Mountains. Listed on the National and Arizona Registers of Historic Places, the Kay El Bar offers guests and staff a desert oasis that’s truly part of our western heritage.

The ranch is small with 12 rooms and a maximum capacity of 24. That means that guests quickly know each other as well as all of the staff. As soon as our guests step on our ranch property, we want them to feel like part of our family and that spirit of family comes from the people who work at the Kay El Bar.

Staff at the Kay El Bar eat the same wonderful home cooking served to our guests. They live in ranch provided housing at no cost and are able to participate in ranch activities such as horseback riding. Wickenburg is an honest to goodness western town with shops, galleries and a great museum. We’re an hour from Phoenix , four hours from the Grand Canyon and Las Vegas and two hours from Sedona.

Recreation

Staff are welcome to ride with our guests during time off, as well as use the pool and hot tub, on a space available basis.

Room and Board

We provide staff housing at no cost to our staff. Housing will either be in one of the staff rooms on the ranch or at ranch housing near the ranch. If housed near the ranch, the staff person will be responsible for transportation to and from the ranch.

Staff serve-yourself breakfast is at 7 am. Our staff are welcome to eat the same meals that our guests enjoy. Unless otherwise specified, the staff may eat with our guests or in the staff dining room.

Benefits

You will be paid every other week. In addition to your salary, you will receive an end of season bonus.

All staff are given two nights free lodging for family or friends. After that, rooms are charged at a reduced rate.

Transportation Info

We're located approximately 50 miles northwest of Phoenix. Most of our employees drive to the ranch.
