A Summer of White Water Rafting


Wildwater Ltd., the first outfitter on the Chattooga River, came into existence in June of 1971. Today, the company has grown beyond the boundaries of the Chattooga River to include the Ocoee, Nantahala, Pigeon and Cheoah Rafting Centers.

In addition to whitewater rafting, Wildwater Ltd. offers kayak clinics, Raft'N Rail® excursion, high ropes course, climbing walls, team building, Jeep Adventures and a variety of lodging facilities - Falling Waters Adventure Resort, the largest, was opened in July, 1998.

Guides, Reservationists, Drivers, Foodservice, Cleaning and Management positions must be filled each season. Wildwater Ltd. offers competitive wages, housing and benefits. Recreation

Wildwater's four rafting centers are located in and around the Smoky Mountains. In addition to river recreation, there are numerous opportunities to explore hiking, biking, climbing, scenic overlooks, waterfalls and history. Join us in a beautiful part of the United States.

Room and Board

Varying types of housing, including bunkhouses and dorm style rooms, are available at each of Wildwater Ltd.’s Rafting Centers. All employees using Wildwater Ltd. housing are required to participate in a maintenance and cleaning program for living areas.

For a fee, meal plans are available at the Chattooga and Ocoee Rafting Centers, while kitchen facilities are provided for your convenience at the Nantahala and Pigeon Rafting Centers. If you live at our Chattooga or Ocoee Rafting Centers you are required to be on the meal plan.

Transportation Info

A car is good to have as we are located in rural areas. But you can get along without one as you will be living at the rafting center. Arrangements can be made to pick you up from the airport/bus station if needed.

A Guide School is offered the two weekends in Mid March on the Chattooga River. This is a great opportunity to gain skills and meet the Management Team of Wildwater Ltd. Managers from all the rafting centers will be instructing and have additional information on working and living opportunities at Wildwater.

Upon arrival for employment at Wildwater Ltd. be prepared to produce a valid driver's license and one of the following documents to complete the employment process: Passport, U.S. Social Security Card, Birth Certificate

Non U.S. citizens must have a valid U.S. work permit. "Green Card" or J1 Visa.
