About The Lighthouse Inn

The Lighthouse Inn reminds you of a time gone by. Secluded and relaxing, with refreshing ocean breezes to rejuvenate your spirit... This is the real "Cape Cod". The historic Bass River lighthouse, dating back to 1855, forms the center section of the present-day main house and emanates the inimitable charm of Cape Cod. A working lighthouse, it is officially recognized as the West Dennis Lighthouse.

Lighthouse Inn has been operating as a family-run seasonal resort since 1938. During the spring and fall, Lighthouse Inn plays host to many weddings, rehearsal dinners, banquets, family reunions corporate meetings, and other group functions. In July and August, the Inn caters mainly to social guests and families who are vacationing. Smaller weddings and other events for up to 100 guests are also available during the summer months.

A breakfast is included daily for our hotel guests.  The Waterfront Restaurant is open to the public for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Meals are served in our 250-seat oceanfront dining room and outside on the waterfront deck and lawn. There is also a snack bar for hotel guests and club members at the pool.

Resort activities for guests include swimming in the ocean, tennis, mini-golf, heated swimming pool, volleyball, basketball and shuffleboard.  There is also easy access to many nearby 18-hole golf courses along with boating and fishing charters, water sports, biking, summer theater, Cape Cod Baseball League, whale watching, art galleries, shopping, and nightlife.

Getting Here and Getting Around

Travel to the Inn is at your own expense. Cape Cod is located 60 miles south of Boston or 60 miles north of Providence, RI.   Your destination airport would be Boston's Logan Airport. Ground transportation from the Boston airport is available directly to Cape Cod by Plymouth Brockton Bus, www.p-b.com.  Buses pick up from outside of the baggage claim area where you will travel 2 hours to Hyannis which is 7 miles from Lighthouse Inn. From Hyannis you would take a cab to the inn.

Having a bike while you're here is a great way to get around. The 50 mile Cape Cod Rail trail follows the route of the old main Cape Cod railroad behind the main streets and back roads of 5 Cape towns. This bike trail finishes in Eastham where the Cape Cod National Seashore trails begin.

There is also a Cape Cod Regional Transit Authority bus line that is available as public transportation allowing access to all areas on Cape Cod. It is also possible to contact Uber, Lyft, or taxi for local transportation.

For Fun

The beach location gives you the opportunity to enjoy great social times outside of work and is an environment for long-lasting friendships. There are great biking and hiking trails.  You can also enjoy boating, kayaking, fishing, and golf.  For concert goers, check out the summer line up for Xfinity Center in Mansfield, MA or TD Garden in Boston.  Other New England States are only a couple hours away and you could go camping or hiking in New Hampshire, Vermont or Maine.
