Job Title: Lead Line Cook

Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead Line Cook to join our team at a picturesque ranch restaurant located in the heart of Montana. As a Lead Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen, delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests, and maintaining the high standards of quality and consistency that our establishment is known for.

Responsibilities:
1. Oversee and coordinate daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating, to ensure timely and efficient service.
2. Lead and mentor a team of line cooks, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure optimal performance and adherence to kitchen standards.
3. Collaborate with the Executive Chef and Sous Chef to develop and update menus, recipes, and special offerings, considering seasonal availability and guest preferences.
4. Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage food costs to optimize profitability while minimizing waste.
5. Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards at all times.
6. Execute dishes with precision and consistency, ensuring that each plate meets our quality and presentation standards.
7. Communicate effectively with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth coordination between the kitchen and the dining room.
8. Handle any kitchen emergencies or unforeseen situations calmly and efficiently, taking appropriate action to minimize disruptions.

Qualifications:
1. Proven experience as a line cook in a high-volume restaurant environment, with at least 2 years of experience
2. Extensive knowledge of culinary techniques, food preparation methods, and kitchen equipment.
3. Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
4. Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
5. Ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
6. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
7. A passion for food and a commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests.
8. Culinary degree or relevant certification is a plus, but not required.
