Winter Sleigh Driver

Overview: 

     Join the 320 Guest Ranch, a historic property nestled in the scenic Gallatin Canyon between Big Sky, Montana, and Yellowstone National Park, as a Winter Sleigh Driver. This role involves driving a draft horse team for sleigh rides, offering guests a unique winter experience while ensuring the safety of both horses and guests. Additionally, you will assist with horse care and ranch maintenance, including feeding, stall cleaning, and snow removal, all within a beautiful winter setting. 

 

Job Duties Include: 

• Driving and harnessing a draft horse team for sleigh rides, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for guests. 

• Care for horses, including feeding, cleaning stalls 

• Perform basic ranch maintenance tasks, Operating and maintaining chainsaws for  cutting and stacking firewood at cabins. 

• Assist with snow removal around the ranch to maintain accessibility. 

• Focus on the safety and well-being of the horses and guests during all activities. 

• Provide a positive ranch experience for guests by sharing your knowledge of the ranch and its history. 

• Perform various other ranch chores and tasks across departments as assigned by ranch management. 

 

 

Key Qualifications: 

• Extensive experience driving draft horse teams is required. 

• Strong background in horse care and handling. 

• Ability to maintain and operate ranch vehicles and equipment maintenance, Familiarity with chainsaws, power tools, hand tools and small engines 

• Ability to perform physical tasks in a winter environment, including snow removal and firewood management. 

• Reliable, hardworking, and able to work in a team-oriented setting. 

• Positive attitude and enthusiasm for providing exceptional guest experiences. 

 

Additional Requirements: 

• Flexibility to take on various tasks as needed around the ranch. 

• Ability to work in cold and snowy conditions.
