Join Alaska Icefield Expeditions to work with our team of Iditarod, Yukon Quest, and Professional Athletes!   

We are looking for Tour Attendants/Dog Handlers to join our team for the 2019 season. 

Dog Handler Duties: Dog Handlers will maintain guest safety and assist Mushers getting in and out of dog yards with teams.  Each Dog Handler is responsible for assisting Mushers in conducting safe tours.  Dog Handlers inspect dogs on a daily basis for general health and fitness.  Dog Handlers will work throughout the camp to meet the needs of the day. You may be assigned different duties on any given day at the Camp Manager’s discretion. 

Tour Attendant Duties:  You will be taking action and still shots of guests while they are on their tour and present them with options for purchase before returning to their helicopter.  In addition to photography you may also be working and caring for the sled dogs, loading and unloading passengers and gear from helicopters and maintaining camp.

This is a great opportunity to work in one of the most beautiful places on the planet!

  • No experience necessary.  
  • Must be able to legally work in the U.S.
  • Valid CPR and First Aid certification required throughout the season. 
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs. 
  • Point of hire is Juneau, AK.  You must get yourself here.
  • Employees live in wall tents. 
  • Must be available from beginning of May to September 20th 2019.
  • Pay is contingent upon guest visitation - approximately $2800 per month.
