Founded in 1946, the camp has a long tradition of positive experiences for both children and staff working and playing in the natural environment. For the last 73 years Blue Mountain Ranch has been family owned and operated. 

As a Wrangler you will work the the camps 13 horse. You will be in charge of feeding, minor first aid as well grooming, teach campers how to ride, western, and how to care for these fantastic animals, ect.  Campers  are always eager to help groom the horses. You and a co-counselor will also live in a cabin with a group of children for whom you are responsible at night, at meals and on field trips. 

Our camp is based on the Golden Rule which is to treat others the way you want to be treated.  The culture is one of kindness and participation, of learning new things and fostering the environment, meeting people from all over the world and learning to make friends.

Staff orientation begins on June 2nd, so you will need to be at camp by this date. We have three sessions that run from June 8th through August 5th.

There are days off, laundry nights and between session for down time to explore Colorado.  Along with $200 a week you receive room and board. We are looking for people who can commit to the whole summer.
