Responsibilities:
- Assist the culinary team in various food preparation tasks, including chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients.
- Prepare and portion ingredients according to the recipes and menu specifications.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and taking out trash.
- Follow established health and safety standards in food handling and preparation.
- Support the line cooks and chefs during service by ensuring timely delivery of prepped ingredients and maintaining stock levels.
- Assist in setting up and stocking the kitchen stations for daily operations.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth kitchen operations and provide assistance wherever needed.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role or culinary training is preferred but not required. We are willing to train candidates with a passion for food and a desire to learn.
- Basic knowledge of food handling and preparation techniques.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as per the resort's operational needs.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
