Do you want to get out of the city and live on a beautiful island in the Pacific Northwest, surrounded by the pristine waters of the Salish Sea? Come join our talented, hard-working team at the critically acclaimed Doe Bay Café! We are looking to fill year-round positions at this time.

• We are a scratch kitchen featuring organic produce, local seafood/meat from our onsite garden and neighboring farms. We use organic ingredients whenever possible.
• Line cook applicants should have at least 1 year of hotline experience, a good work ethic, a positive attitude, and come with no drama.
• The Doe Bay Garden provides produce and flowers for the Doe Bay Café as part of our seed-to-table program.
• Ask about onsite housing opportunities in private cabins with shared bathroom and kitchen.
• Must be comfortable in rural and community living situations.

Line Cook Responsibilities:

• Ensuring the preparation station and the kitchen are set up and stocked.
• Preparing components of each dish on the menu by chopping vegetables, cutting meat, and preparing sauces.
• Cooking menu items with the support of the kitchen staff.
• Reporting to the café manager or chef and following instructions.
• Making sure food preparation and storage areas meet health and safety standards.
• Cleaning prep areas and taking care of leftovers.
• Stocking inventory and supplies.
• Maintain clean walk-in and food storage areas
• assist with end of night clean up
• Take out trash in station and sanitize areas
• Cooking menu items with the support of the kitchen staff.
