Lunch / Dinner Banquet Cook ~ START IMMEDIATELY AS OF 10/19/24

Elkhorn Ranch, a guest ranch southwest of Tucson, Arizona, seeks a lunch / dinner cook for its winter season. This is a full-time seasonal position open immediately through May 4, 2025. Lunch and supper are served buffet style, in guest and staff dining rooms. Lunch involves soups, salads, casseroles or sandwich variations (adapted to weather, left-over utilization, and dietary restrictions). The supper involves protein entree, alternate protein entree for dietary restrictions as needed, carbohydrate, vegetable, fresh dinner bread, dressed salad and plated dessert. A four week menu rotation defines the basic elements of the meals and the cook chooses recipes. Our aim is to prepare everything from scratch (to the extent practical given our location) and produce excellent and attractive food that is presented to guests and crew. The job also involves one day of breakfast short-order cooking to cover the breakfast / baking cook’s day off and they in turn cover this position’s day off. Wage is $18-20 per hour, plus full room and board conservatively valued at $5 per hour, plus a bonus at the end of the season. All Elkhorn Ranch staff live on-site.
