Public Area Attendant

Apply NowKeeps all public facilities in a neat and clean condition. Public area attendant promotes a positive image of the site to guests and must be pleasant, honest, friendly and should also able to address guest requests and problems. We are looking for someone to start in March and work until the end of the season, Oct 27th.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Cleans interior of buildings, outside site spaces and restrooms.
- Empties ashtrays and urns.
- Cut wood and keep fires going on site
- Polishes furniture and fixtures.
- Keeps the front of the building and site free from trash.
- Washes walls and ceilings, moves and arranges furniture.
- Sweeps, mops, scrubs, waxes, and polishes floors.
- Dust and polishes metal work.
- To perform daily assigned tasks in toilets, buildings, trash, sites, etc.
- To clean and maintain all equipment daily.
- To follow up a special cleaning program
- To report maintenance issues to supervisor immediately.
- To assist Guest in Public Areas when required.
- To have good knowledge of all facilities, hours of operation, Restaurants, shops and function rooms.
- Post caution signs as and when required.
- Responsible to follow departmental policies and procedures.
- Responsible for upkeep of all the equipment which he is using i.e., Vacuum cleaner, trolleys, Scrubbing machine.
- Responsible for maintaining a time schedule for cleaning of their areas.
- Responsible for spring/winter cleaning of their area as per the schedule is given to them.
- Any other duties as assigned by management.
Physical Requirements & Work Environment:
- Must be able to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat.
- Prolonged periods of standing.
- Must be able to lift 40 pounds at times.
- Must be able to swing an ax and cut wood
- Ability to communicate in English to our associates and guests.
- Must be able to work safely in a noisy area with many odors present.
- Ability to work in an unheated building.
- Willing to live in a remote, rural community
- Comfortable traveling by small plane or ferry to and from a remote setting
- Able to walk and/or drive on gravel roads in inclement weather
- In Season, the hours can be extended.
