The Baker is responsible for producing high-quality baked goods to meet customer demands. The role involves mixing ingredients, preparing dough, baking pastries, and ensuring food safety and sanitation guidelines are met. The Baker also helps maintain and stock baking supplies, ensuring a smooth and efficient baking process.
- Prepare and mix dough, batters, and fillings for various baked goods, following recipes and quality standards.
- Bake and decorate pastries, such as cakes, cookies, bread, and muffins, ensuring they are visually appealing and of consistent quality.
- Monitor oven temperatures and adjust as needed to ensure baked goods are baked to perfection.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, following all food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Monitor inventory levels of baking supplies, such as flour, sugar, and other ingredients, and order replacements as needed.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or problems that may arise during the baking process.
- Collaborate with the production team to ensure timely delivery of baked goods to customers.
- Follow established portion sizes and presentation standards for baked goods.
