Job Title:   Rental Cashier              

Reports to: Rental/Repair Manager                                                           

Status: Full/Part Time Seasonal

Exempt/Non-Exempt: Non-Exempt                                                           

Wage: DOE

Job Summary: Assists guests in renting equipment.

Essential Job Responsibilities/Duties/Tasks include the following; other duties may be assigned:

  • Ensure customer satisfaction with efficient, friendly service
  • Answer all questions about ski/snowboard rental equipment and on mountain amenities
  • Assist guests in filling out rental forms
  • Accurately ring up customer purchases, receive money, and give change using a PC point of sales system
  • Process credit card transactions
  • Assist with setting up guest’s rental equipment
  • Stock and clean rental area
  • Remove or relocate snow as needed
  • Effectively communicate with other employees both in person and via telephone/two-way radio

Required:

  • Strong interpersonal skills enabling effective communication with guests, co-workers, supervisors, and managers
  • Ability to work varied schedule including weekends/holidays

Experience/Education:

Preferred:

  • Prior experience working with the public
  • Cash handling experience
  • Knowledge of the ski industry

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, talk, see, hear and smell.  The employee is frequently required to handle objects, tools, or controls.  Must be capable of walking or standing 90% or more of a normal 9-hour work shift, lifting and moving 30 lbs. or more, walking on uneven terrain and snow and ice, shoveling snow, bending, stooping, and sitting for extended periods of time.
