Job Summary:  Serves alcoholic beverages and food at Midway Lodge or the Bierstube.

Starting Wage: $17 per hour

Essential Job Responsibilities/Duties/Tasks include the following; other duties may be assigned:

  • Ensure customer satisfaction with efficient, friendly service.
  • General bartending duties; prepare and serve cocktails, wine, and beer.
  • Accurately ring up customer purchases, receive money, and give change using a point of sales system.
  • Process credit card transactions and accurately enter tip amounts.
  • Stock and clean bar area.
  • Take out garbage/recycling daily, clean, and mop behind bar.
  • Organize and clean cooler area.

Required:

  • Strong interpersonal skills enabling effective communication with guests, co-workers, supervisors, and managers.
  • Ability to work varied schedule including weekends/holidays.
  • State of Montana Liquor Certificate (available online).

Experience/ Education

Preferred:

  • Experience tending bar.
  • Prior experience working with the public.
  • Cash handling experience.
  • Knowledge of the ski industry.

The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms.  The employee is occasionally required to lift and move up to 25 lbs.
