Job Summary: Assists in loading and unloading of chairlifts while providing excellent guest service.

Essential Job Responsibilities/Duties/Tasks include the following; other duties may be assigned:

  • Maintain constant attention to surroundings while on duty, in order to ensure guest safety.
  • Ensure guest satisfaction with friendly service and a positive attitude.
  • Become knowledgeable of all operational and emergency procedures.
  • Perform and document safety checks.
  • Maintain condition and appearance of lift ramps and lift terminal areas. 
  • Prevent fraudulent lift access.
  • Effectively communicate with other employees and guests.
  • Work in outdoor winter conditions for extended periods of time.

Required:

  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Must be safety conscious and able to make quick decisions.
  • Able to work varied schedule including weekends/holidays.
  • Punctuality.

Preferred:

  • Prior guest service experience.
  • Knowledge of the ski industry.
  • Competent ski or snowboard ability, or the enthusiasm to learn how to ski or snowboard.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works in outside winter weather conditions, and frequently works near moving mechanical parts. They will be exposed extreme weather conditions including sub-zero temperatures, wind, snow, and freezing rain.

  • Capable of working outside in winter conditions for the duration of an 8 hour work shift.
  • Capable of walking or standing for the duration of an 8 hour work shift.
  • Capable of walking on uneven, icy, and snowy terrain.
  • Capable of shoveling snow for extended periods of time.
