Snowsports Instructor
Apply NowJob Summary: Promote the sport of skiing or snowboarding by providing safe, enjoyable, and effective snowsport lessons for guests.
Essential Job Responsibilities/Duties/Tasksinclude the following; other duties may be assigned:
- Ensure customer satisfaction with efficient, friendly service.
- Instruct and educate guests in skiing or snowboarding using modern teaching techniques.
- Select appropriate terrain for lesson according to guest skill level.
- Attend training clinics.
- Work with children 3 years and older.
- Remove or relocate snow as needed.
- Effectively communicate with other employees both in person and via telephone/two-way radio.

Required:
- Strong interpersonal skills enabling effective communication with guests, co-workers, supervisors, and managers.
- Intermediate skiing or snowboarding ability.
- Ability to work varied schedule including weekends/holidays.
Experience/ Education
Preferred:
- Prior experience working with the public.
- PSIA/AASI certification.
- Knowledge of the ski industry.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to high, precarious places, outside weather conditions, and risk or radiation from the sun. Harsh winter weather conditions are frequently encountered. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
