Job Summary: Assists guests purchasing lessons and packages.

Essential Job Responsibilities/Duties/Tasks include the following; other duties may be assigned:

  • Ensure customer satisfaction with efficient, friendly service.
  • Actively up-sell private lessons, full-day packages, skill packages, and special programs.
  • Answer all questions about tickets, passes, lessons, and rentals.
  • Accurately ring up customer purchases, receive money, and give change using a PC point of sales system.
  • Process credit card transactions.
  • Stock and clean Snowsports office.
  • Remove or relocate snow as needed.
  • Effectively communicate with other employees both in person and via telephone, two-way radio, and email.
  • Create orders for and check-in schools and groups by distributing ticket, lesson, and rental products to individual participants, as well as completing group sales transactions while accurately logging in Customer Manager.
  • Process and log lost and found and assist guests in looking for and locating items.

Required:

  • Strong interpersonal skills enabling effective communication with guests, co-workers, supervisors, and managers.
  • Knowledge of sales.
  • Ability to work varied schedule including weekends/holidays.

Experience/ Education

Preferred:

  • Prior experience working with the public.
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Cash handling experience.
  • Knowledge of the ski industry.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls and talk and hear.  Employees must be capable of standing and or walking 20% of a normal 8 hour work shift. The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms.  The employee is occasionally required to lift and move up to 25 lbs.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts. The noise level is moderate. Harsh weather conditions will occasionally be encountered en route to work and during snow shoveling duties.
