Essential Job Responsibilities/Duties/Tasks include the following; other duties may be assigned:

  • Ensure customer satisfaction with efficient, friendly service.
  • Answer all customer questions about tickets, passes, and lessons, as well as provide information about other ski area services and events.
  • Be knowledgeable about all ticket and pass products and specials.
  • Accurately ring up customer purchases, receive money via cash and credit card, and give change using a PC point-of-sales system.
  • Process daily Aspenware ticket and season pass sales orders
  • Assist in Bag Check and securely store guests personal items and gear.
  • Stock ticket windows and keep office clean.
  • Accurately count till to prepare drop at end of shift and close out sale location.
  • Effectively communicate with other employees and departments, both in person and via telephone/two-way radio
  • Shovel snow in front of ticket office, main lodge entrances, season locker room, and other places as needed.
  • Process and log lost and found and assist guests in looking for and locating items.
  • Create orders for and check-in schools and groups by distributing ticket, lesson, and rental products to individual participants, as well as completing group sales transactions while accurately logging in Customer Manager.

Required:

  • Strong interpersonal skills enabling effective communication with guests, co-workers, supervisors, and managers.
  • Ability to work varied schedule including weekends/holidays.

Experience/Education:

Preferred:

  • Prior experience working with the public.
  • Cash handling experience.
  • Knowledge of the ski industry.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls and talk and hear.  Employees must be capable of standing and or walking 40% of a normal 8 hour work shift. The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms.  The employee is occasionally required to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
