Job Summary: The Front of House Manager is responsible for overseeing operations at five distinct restaurants across both summer and winter seasons. This includes two seasonal winter venues: the Main Lodge, which offers cafeteria-style dining, and the Midway Lodge, featuring walk-up, made-to-order meals. In the summer, operations shift to 28 Peaks located at RLM Golf course, a walk-up, made-to-order venue, and the RLM Clubhouse, which specializes in banquet and wedding food service. The Bierstube, a year-round establishment, operates on the mountain with brief breaks during shoulder seasons. The Front of House Manager ensures an exceptional guest experience while maintaining high standards of customer service, cleanliness, and overall ambiance. This role demands strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and the ability to effectively manage staff in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Essential Job Responsibilities/Duties/Tasks include the following; other duties may be assigned:

  • Performs or assists subordinates in performing duties Guest Experience: Ensure all guests receive outstanding service, resolving any issues promptly and efficiently.
  • Staff Management: Hire, train, and supervise FOH staff, including servers, hosts, and bartenders. Conduct regular performance reviews and provide ongoing coaching and development.
  • Operations Management: Oversee daily operations of the dining area, ensuring smooth service during peak times. Coordinate with the BOH Manager to ensure timely and accurate order delivery.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor and manage FOH supplies, including beverages, linens, and other necessary items. Coordinate with suppliers to maintain appropriate stock levels.
  • Scheduling: Create and manage staff schedules, ensuring adequate coverage during all shifts. Adjust staffing levels based on business needs.
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure all FOH operations comply with health and safety regulations, including cleanliness standards and food handling procedures.
  • Financial Accountability: Assist with budgeting and financial planning for the FOH. Monitor daily sales and contribute to strategies for increasing revenue and controlling costs.
  • Event Coordination: Collaborate with the Events Manager to plan and execute special events, ensuring a seamless guest experience. Must be able and willing to provide all customers and employees with top quality customer service in all situations at all times
  • Ensure customers and employees are treated courteously, safely and efficiently
  • Strong Computer skills, ability to utilize RTP
  • Maintains harmony among workers and resolves grievances

Experience/Education:

Required:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a supervisory role within the hospitality industry, preferably in food and beverage operations.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • Certifications: ServSafe or similar certification in food safety and alcohol service is preferred.
  • Technology: Proficiency in POS systems, Toast and Microsoft Excel.
  • Thorough knowledge of the laws and regulations governing Food & Beverage preparation and service
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Ability to independently manage multiple tasks in a professional manner
  • Ability to maintain a professional demeanor at all time
