Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and motivated individual to join our team as a Hotel. Desk Manager for our boutique hotel and restaurant located near Capitol Reef. National Park in southern Utah. As the Hotel Desk Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring exceptional guest experiences by overseeing all hotel desk operations during your scheduled shift. Your attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and ability to handling diverse responsibilities will contribute to the success of our hotel.

Responsibilities:

Guest Services:

● Greet guests warmly and provide exceptional customer service throughout

their stay.

● Handle guest check-ins and check-outs efficiently, ensuring accurate

documentation and payment processing.

● Address guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and

professionally, striving to exceed their expectations.

● Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance staff to ensure rooms are

prepared and maintained to the highest standards.

● Become proficient in each department of the hotel

 

Staff Management:

● Work closely with the owners and other managers to supervise

and train hotel personnel, including scheduling shifts, assigning and

following up on tasks, and providing ongoing support and guidance as needed.

● Foster a positive work environment, encouraging teamwork, and

promoting excellent service delivery.

● Lead by example

● Conduct regular performance evaluations, recognize achievements, and

provide constructive feedback to enhance staff performance.

● Enforce company policies utilizing and adhering to the companies

corrective action policies

 

Reservation and Revenue Management:

● Oversee the hotel's reservation system, ensuring accuracy and maximizing

revenue opportunities.

● Monitor and analyze room availability and rates, providing

recommendations to strategies to optimize occupancy and revenue.

● Collaborate with the sales and marketing team to develop promotions,

packages, and special offers to attract guests and increase revenue.

● Collaborate with each department to develop and implement special

promotions, packages and return customer incentives

● Handle all guests complaints quickly and professionally

 

Administrative Duties:

● Maintain accurate guest records, including personal information, payment

details, and preferences.

● Maintain accurate employee records

● Prepare and review daily reports, including occupancy, revenue, and guest

feedback, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.

● Manage and reconcile cash, credit card transactions, and other financial

records related to the front desk.

● Manage all company communications professionally and in a timely

Matter

● Be available to fill in for any vacant shift including night audit shift when necessary or in the case of a vacancy

● Be available to an adjusting schedule according to the company needs including split shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays.

 

Safety and Security:

● Implement and enforce hotel policies and procedures to ensure the safety

and security of guests and employees.

● Handle emergency situations calmly and effectively, following established

protocols and coordinating with appropriate authorities.

● Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and legal requirements

related to front desk operations.

 

Qualifications:

● Bachelor's degree in hospitality management or a related field (preferred) OR

relevant work experience.

● Proven experience in hotel front desk operations, preferably in a boutique hotel

environment.

● Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to manage a diverse team and interact

with guests from various backgrounds.

● Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities to handle multiple

responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.

● Proficiency in hotel management software and reservation systems.

● Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions that benefit the

company and team under pressure.

● Understanding of safety and security protocols and the ability to respond to

emergencies effectively.

● Proficient in the English and Spanish language

● Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

● Strong conflict resolution and customer service skills.

● Proficient in defusing employee conflict in the workplace

● Ability to speak multiple languages is a plus

The Rock Garden Eatery & Bar at the Red Sands Hotel & Spa is looking for a professional Line Cooks who can help prepare meals as per our standard recipes. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating meal portions, cleaning food, cooking meals, and keeping a sanitized and organized work area. We are seeking an individual who has some experience in the food service industry and is committed to impeccable food presentation and garnishing, which is important for impressing our guests and creating repeat business. Requirements include:

• Must be willing to wash dishes and complete deep cleaning
• Must be willing to work all weekends and holidays
• Must obtain a food handlers permit
• Must be willing to work as a team with the FOH and BOH
• Must be able to work independently without the direction of a chef

Servers sell and serve food and drinks in a professional manner. Assist customers with online ordering and order at the table QR codes. Bus, and clean tables. Assist with dishes and BOH clean up when needed. Make and serve alcoholic drinks as required. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

• Serving 6-8 tables, as determined by management
• Maintaining complete knowledge of Restaurant’s food and beverage preparation
• Selling alcohol and food items
• Entering and completing customers’ orders on computer system; accepting different types of payment and making change
• Interacting with guests in a friendly and fast manner; ensuring guests’ complete satisfaction and exceeding their expectations
• Maintaining specific side-work and ensuring the total cleanliness and smooth operation of the restaurant
• Clearing and resetting tables
• Checking identification of guests to ensure they are of legal age to consume alcoholic beverages; refusing to serve beverages in a polite manner to guests who are not of legal age
• Observing guests’ behavior once they have consumed alcoholic beverages, counting number of drinks served, and offering a taxi if you feel they should not drive; asking a manager for help with disorderly customers as needed
• Reporting to work in a neat and clean uniform; maintaining well-groomed hair and personal hygiene as established by company policy
• Performing other duties as directed
   

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

• Ability to pass Responsible Service of Alcohol Test with a score of 90% or better
• State alcohol server license and food handler’s card required
• Basic mathematical skills; ability to make change
• Basic reading and writing skills
• Basic computer skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Must be 21 years or older

The prep cook/dish washing and general utility position is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards for china, glassware, tableware, cooking utensils, etc., using machine and manual cleaning methods. This position also ensures the dishwashing area is maintained as a clean, safe, and sanitary facility.
 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

• Sorting and rinsing dirty dishes, glass, tableware and other cooking utensils and place them in racks to send through dish machine
• Sorting and stacking clean dishes; carrying clean dishes to cook’s line and other proper storage areas; rewashing soiled dishes before delivering
• Changing dishwater in dish machine every hour
• Washing pots, pans, and trays by hand
• Removing trash and garbage to dumpster
• Setting-up and breaking-down dishwashing area
• Cleaning and rolling/unrolling mats
• Filling/emptying soak tubs with cleaning and sanitizing solutions
• Sweeping/mopping floors
• Assembling/disassembling dish machine
• Sweeping up trash around exterior of restaurant and garbage dumpster
• Performing general restaurant and restroom cleaning as directed
• Wiping up any spills to ensure kitchen floors remain dry
• Bus tables as required 
• Notifying Manager anytime dish machine wash or rinse cycle falls below safety standard temperatures
• Prepping food as assigned
• Creating salads, desserts 
• Assist in plating entree's 
• Performing other duties as assigned
   

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

• Must be able to read labels on chemicals
• Knowledge of workplace safety procedures

The Front Desk Agent is responsible for ensuring an efficient and smooth check in for our guests, providing excellent and friendly customer service at all times and delivering hiking and activity advise on the area.

Other job responsibilities include:

• Ensuring hotel charges are processed accurately to the guests accounts
• Ensure all guests are satisfied and addressing complaints in a professional and friendly manner
• Respond to emails, phone and Akia in a professional and timely manner
• Follow the assigned hotel checklists
• Adhere to company credit or comp policies
• Allocate rooms to incoming guests 
• Check rooms when needed prior to guest arrival
• Coordinate bus group arrivals with group coordinator
• Overseeing real time maintenance issues are handled 
• Ensuring safety and security regulations are met during your shifts
• Address customer issues and complaints in accordance to company standards
• Perform other duties assigned requested or deemed necessary by management
