Job Overview: The Fine Garden Lead Position is responsible for overseeing and executing high-quality gardening and landscaping projects for assigned areas. This role involves supervisory duties, hands-on gardening, and ensuring the overall aesthetic and health of the gardens are upheld to the best standards.

Reports To: Garden Manager or Landscape Supervisor

Key Responsibilities:

1.        Supervision and Leadership:

.          Lead and manage a team of gardeners.

.          Provide training, guidance, and performance feedback to team members.

.          Delegate tasks efficiently and ensure timely completion of projects.

.          Monitor the time used for accomplishing the task(s) and provide a written record by the end of each operational week.

.          Create a weekly plan for the next week and present it by the end of the previous operational week for approval.

            

2.        Garden Maintenance:

.           Implement plant care routines including watering, pruning, weeding, and fertilizing for assigned areas.

.           Monitor plant health and address any issues such as pests and diseases.

.           Perform soil preparation and planting of seasonal flowers, shrubs, and trees.

3.        Design and Planning:

.           Collaborate with the Garden Manager to develop garden designs and plans.

.           Assist in the selection of plants and materials for new projects.

.           Implement garden layouts as per design plans, maintaining aesthetic quality.

4.        Operations:

.           Maintain gardening tools and equipment to ensure they are in good working condition.

.           Keep accurate records of plant care, garden activities, and inventory.

.           Ensure all gardening activities comply with safety regulations and standards.

5.        Customer Relations:

.           Interact professionally with clients, visitors and employees, answering their questions.

.           Provide expert advice on plant care and garden maintenance.

.           Address client concerns and feedback promptly and effectively.

6.        Continuous Improvement:

.           Stay updated on the latest gardening techniques and trends.

.           Participate in professional development opportunities and training.

.           Suggest improvements to enhance the efficiency and quality of garden operations.

Assigned areas for the fine gardening crew:

.              Private garden areas for the homeowners from the confirmed list.

.              Common areas for the units with private garden.

.              Rose garden

.              Sunken garden

.              Pavilion courtyard

.              McMillin suites

.              West Lawn (Flag pavilion)

.              Flower and tree containers

Must be able and fit to: lift 50+ lbs, climb stairs and ladders, bend at knees to kneel for long periods of time, stand for long periods of time.
