Adventure Guide

Here at Adventure 60 North we are looking for people that are passionate about the outdoors and sharing amazing experiences with guests. Guides will be working in one of Alaska's most beautiful remote National Parks as well as some State Parks. We are looking for people who are interested in sea kayaking, hiking, and various adventures that happen around our home base. 

Our employees are expected to safely and successfully lead and guide trips including driving guests, gold panning, and logistics. Breaking up the work week with different jobs prevents burnout. We know that housing is expensive and one of the most difficult parts of moving to a new place, so we have decided to include bunk style house with a shared kitchen, and hot shower for our employees as a courtesy. We enjoy our beautiful location sharing evenings around the fire pit in our backyard near the entrance of Kenai Fjords National Park. Some of our guides drive to Alaska and live in their own RV or off site. It is not required for employees to live onsite. It is encouraged for our employees to explore and enjoy the outdoor world and all the amazing things Seward has to offer. You will find that Seward is a unique small town with a huge heart!

It is expected that all new guides arrive by April 28th to start training. Training is provided with a two week training stipend for the intensive learning experience focusing on educating guides on the various guiding locations, plants, animals, safety and more. It is expected that all new employees arrive in time to complete all of the training. As well as learning about the area, new guides will complete and be assessed by an ACA instructor at a level 2 ACA coastal sea kayaking rating. Adventure 60 North will cover the cost of the training as well as the ACA assessment. It is required that new guides come with WFR as well as first aid and CPR before arriving for employment. 

Our point of hire is Seward, Alaska located 2 hours south of Anchorage on the road and rail system. Adventure 60 North is located just outside of town, on the way to Kenai Fjords National Park.
