Alaska Travel Adventures is hiring outgoing, highly motivated individuals for summer employment in Alaska. Grill Cook:
Fillet and portion salmon, grill fish over open alder wood fire, and serve to customers. Prepare and cook chicken, monitor food quality, create a welcoming atmosphere for our guests.
Prep:
Split wood for grill and campfire, set up and maintain cooking fire during meals, load grills with fish and assist grill cook with serving customers, preparing salads & side dishes, maintain clean working area, wash dishes, clean restrooms, and dining area, replenish buffet line during meals and clear tables.
Dishwasher:
Wash dishes, utensils, cookware, and small kitchen appliances, ensuring thorough cleaning and sanitation. Organize dish stations and maintain cleanliness in dishwashing and bussing areas. Clean and organize the kitchen, mop floors, take out trash/recycling, and handle spills or broken items. Follow food safety guidelines to prevent cross-contamination and food-borne illnesses.
Cashier:
Gift shop sales, lunch/dinner sales, balancing cash drawer, cash reports, inventory reports, customer service, some cleaning, and other miscellaneous duties.
Musician/Performer:
Seeking Performer/Musicians who can bring life to a recreation of a Klondike Gold Rush base camp of 1898. You will perform at Liarsville Gold Rush Trail Camp and Salmon Bake, a high-volume destination for guests to see what life was like during 1897-1898. Seeking larger-than-life personalities to play the part of a gold rush madam or eager prospector in a 25-minute vaudeville-style show, including the introduction of Liarsville, a poem by Robert Service, and a gold-panning demonstration. Performer/Musicians will walk the Liarsville Grounds in character entertaining guests.
Ideal candidates will possess excellent interpersonal skills and be willing to work as a member of a team dedicated to delivering a safe, memorable, Alaskan experiences for our guests. Duties include performing, singing, engaging with an individual as well as groups of guests and participation in all duties associated with pre-season setup, ongoing cleaning & maintenance and end of season breakdown of the stage/camp/set/props.
Maintenance:
The Facilities Maintenance Worker will perform general maintenance and repairs for assigned equipment and facilities including plumbing, electrical, basic carpentry, heating and cooling, and other building systems.
