    The Barista position is responsible for serving customers in our coffee shop, The Lift, and maintaining excellent customer service. This includes preparing coffee, tea, preparing and serving pre-made food items, using a Point of Sale system, providing resort information to customers, greeting guests, maintaining a clean work space, and overall providing customers with a positive and efficient coffee shop experience. We are looking for applicants with attention to detail, who can provide excellent customer service at all times, multitask, and who enjoy working in a fast paced environment.

    Environment: This is an indoor position. Must be able to stand for entire shift and occasionally lift/carry 30lbs.

    Experience: Strong barista and cash handling experience necessary. Applicants are required to have a valid NM Servers License or be able to obtain a servers license prior to being hired.     Job Details:

    Angel Fire Resort is looking for an enthusiastic Bartender.  The Bartender will have the opportunity to shape our guest experience by providing exceptional drink service and exemplifying attention to detail.

    Bartender applicants must possess solid bartending experience, strong customer service skills in person, be able to communicate effectively, and be able to maintain a positive attitude in a demanding environment.  This position includes adhering to all state liquor laws and company policies regarding responsible service of alcoholic beverages.  Bartenders are also responsible for providing customers with resort information, resolving customer complaints, assisting with special projects, and representing the resort as a whole.  This demanding position requires great attention to detail along with the ability to multi-task, handle cash, follow strict policies and procedures, use a point of sales system, and complete each task in a responsible and highly professional manner.

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Takes drink orders from customers or Server.
    • Requests proof of age identification from customers per New Mexico liquor laws and company policy.
    • Mixes ingredients such as liquor, soda, water, sugar, and bitters to prepare cocktails and other drinks.
    • Serves wine and draught or bottled beer.
    • Collects money, makes change, and processes credit cards for drinks served.
    • Maintains accurate cash handling procedures.
    • Arranges bottles and glasses to make attractive display.
    • Slices and pits fruit for garnishing drinks.
    • Informs servers of beverage specials.
    • Monitors and observes guests bar experience.
    • Provides pleasant, prompt, courteous guest service.
    • Follows the restaurants’ standard drink recipes when preparing and serving drinks.
    • Presents drink menus to customers; makes recommendations, and answers questions regarding beverages.
    • Upsells drink specials and food items.
    • Develops rapport with guests.
    • Records drink orders accurately and in a timely manner into the Point of Sale system.
    • Washes and sterilizes glassware, either by hand or by using the dishwasher.

    • Maintains cleanliness in all areas of the bar including counters, sinks, utensils, shelves, and storage areas.
    • Receives and serves food orders to guests seated at the bar.
    • Reports all equipment problems and bar maintenance issues to restaurant manager.
    • Assists in the restocking and replenishing of bar inventory and supplies.
    • Performs job duties of a Server as needed and as directed by the Manager.

    Qualifications:

    Angel Fire Bike Park, one of the nation’s top rated bike parks is interviewing for Mountain Bike Patrollers who are passionate about downhill mountain biking, Mountain Patrol, Outdoor Emergency Care, and trail maintenance.

    This position is responsible for the risk management of the bike park including basic trail maintenance, on-hill medical emergency services, signage, customer service, lift evacuations, accident investigations, etc.  Applicants must possess strong first aid and basic life support skills, provide exceptional guest service at all times, and maintain a calm demeanor in a demanding environment. Patrollers must adhere to policies and procedures, work as a team, and help foster a safe, positive, and fun work environment.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Regularly performs trail maintenance using hand tools.
    • Provides medical attention to injured/ill guests according to established policies and procedures.
    • Responds to incidents in the Bike Park as dispatched.
    • Takes appropriate BSI precautions and wears appropriate personal protective equipment.
    • Gives patient care report and transfers patient care to EMS when necessary.
    • Completes reports in an accurate, thorough and timely manner.
    • Assists senior Patrollers in accident investigations (i.e.; interviewing witnesses).
    • Locates emergency contacts for injured patients.
    • Consults with Patrol Manager or Medical Control Director when protocol questions arise.
    • Receives and communicates reports of injury to Patrol Dispatch.
    • Frequently serves as Patrol Dispatcher and keeps up to the minute inventory of personnel, response vehicles, and mobile supplies.
    • Communicates (via phone, radio, and in-person) with Patrol Dispatch, 911 Dispatch, and EMS/Fire personnel.
    • Follows radio protocol/etiquette at all times.
    • Maintains radio communications with other staff to coordinate activities and achieve a high level of teamwork and efficiency.
    • Works with a sense of urgency and completes tasks in a timely manner.
    • Commits to follow all confidentiality regulations and guidelines as set forth by HIPAA.
    • Adheres to the Angel Fire Resort Safety Manual, Employee Hand Book, and Bike Patrol Manual.
    • Maintains a high level of respect for resort property, including tools, spaces, vehicles, resources, and facilities.
    • Provides exceptional guest service at all times.

    Education and/or Experience: High school diploma and three to six months related experience and/or training.

    Other Skills and Abilities

    • Ability to ride a downhill mountain bike at an expert level, maintaining control in all conditions and on all trails.
    • Ability to work weekends and holidays, day shifts and evening shifts, as required by the nature of the resort business.

    Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to ride a downhill mountain bike at an expert level, maintaining control in all conditions and on all trails.  The employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to sit. The employee must regularly lift, move and/or up to 100 pounds.

    Work Environment: This is a physically demanding, outdoor position and applicants can expect to work long hours in variable summer weather conditions.

    Angel Fire Resort is currently accepting applications for Summer Season Prep Cooks and Line Cooks for multiple restaurant venues across the resort.  Dining options at Angel Fire Resort vary from café style, walk up ordering, indoor and patio dining, and gourmet.     We are looking for applicants who are reliable, punctual, can follow safe food handling procedures, can multi-task while providing exceptional customer service, and who enjoy working in a fast paced kitchen environment.

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Prepare and cook food using fryers, ovens, stoves, grills, flat tops, salad (cold) stations and other kitchen equipment

    Job Details: Angel Fire Resort in Angel Fire, NM is seeking a Golf Course Chemical Applicator.  This position manages the rodent/pest control program for the Angel Fire Resort Golf Course.

    Essential Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Under the direction of the Golf Course Superintendent, performs accurate calculations to determine pesticide and fertilizer mixing and application rates according to the product label
    • Responsible for the proper mixing, loading and application of pesticides and fertilizers in a safe manner consistent with applicable laws and label / SDS requirements
    • Monitors pest populations and participate in developing Integrated Pest Management strategies for control
    • Reports accurate quantities of applied pesticides and fertilizers to the golf course superintendent for proper record keeping
    • Maintain chemical storage and mixing areas in compliance with county, state and federal regulations
    • Although primarily a pesticide/fertilizer applicator, this position requires a team player that performs all jobs required by general greens keepers including but not limited to mowing, trimming, golf course setup, and bunker maintenance

    Qualifications:

    • Computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office software
    • Valid driver’s license with driving record insurable under resort insurance

    Work Environment:

    This position includes greeting members and customers, loading golf bags on and off the carts, washing golf clubs, issuing rental golf carts to customers, picking up golf balls on the driving range, maintaining golf carts by washing, fueling, and inspecting for maintenance needs, and representing the resort as a whole.

    Applicants must possess strong customer service skills, be able to communicate effectively, and be able to maintain a positive attitude in a demanding environment.

    • Orders product and manages inventory.
    • Tests cooked foods by tasting and smelling them.

    Angel Fire Resort is looking for an enthusiastic Rental Bike Technician who shares our passion for excellence.  The Rental Bike Technician will have the opportunity to shape our guest experience by providing excellent customer service.

    Applicants must possess strong customer service skills in person, be able to communicate effectively, and be able to maintain a positive attitude in a demanding environment.  This position includes directly interacting with customers to facilitate a positive resort experience, resolving customer complaints, assisting with special projects, and representing the resort as a whole.

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Washes bikes when they are returned.
    • Selects proper helmets and pads for guests based on their needs.
    • Ensures that guests accurately complete the waiver of liability and rental forms.
    • Demonstrate to guests how to set seat height, use front and rear brakes.
    • Responds to guests in a courteous and efficient manner.
    • Answers questions concerning cost of items, features of items, resort activities, hours of operation, weather conditions, etc.
    • Maintains cleanliness of the shop and proper storage of all equipment.
    • Assists Manager in special projects and facility maintenance.
    • Other associated tasks & duties as assigned.

    Qualifications:

    • Must be able to work flexible hours as required by the nature of the business, including weekends and holidays.
    • Positive, flexible, and enthusiastic attitude.

    Environment: This is an indoor/outdoor position in variable summer weather conditions.  Must be able to stand and talk for long periods of time and occasionally lift/carry 30lbs.

    Estimated Start Date: Season runs from Mid May - Mid October (shorter season can be arranged for students interested in this position.)

    Schedule:  Seasonal Full-time and part-time positions are available.

    Housing: Limited employee housing is available upon request.  Employee housing is “dorm-style” and ranges from $350-$750/month.  A list of local rental resources is available upon request.

    Pay: Starts at $13 per hour depending on experience

    Sales associates are responsible for selling retail items to customers which includes cash handling, operating a Point of Sales system, maintaining retail inventory, providing customers with resort information, answering guest questions, and resolving issues. Applicants must possess strong customer services skills, be able to communicate effectively, and be able to maintain a positive attitude in a demanding environment.

    Environment: This is an indoor position. Must be able to stand, sit, and talk for long periods of time, and regularly lift/carry 40lbs.

    Experience: Cash handling and customer service experience is required.

    Minimum Age: 18 years old

    Seasonal position: Full-time, part-time, and very part-time positions are available.

    Pay: Ranges from $10.50-$13 per hour depending on experience

    A typical shift: Starts around 8:00am and ends around 5:00pm. However, applicants should expect to work weekends and holidays, day shifts and evening shifts, as required by the nature of the resort business.

    Job Details:

    Angel Fire Resort is looking for Zip Line Guides for the Summer Season.  Guides are responsible for leading tours, inspecting and maintaining the course, providing exceptional customer service, and creating a safe and enjoyable experience for the guests.

    We are looking for applicants with effective communication skills, who enjoy the outdoors, are reliable, punctual, can follow strict safety standards, and who will strive to provide superior customer service at all times.

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Working at heights leading Zip Line Tours
    • Ensure proper fit of guest harness
    • Follow safety protocol
    • Ensure guests are secured to apparatus
    • Solid interpersonal skills and leadership skills: energetic, focused, and appreciates responsibility and challenges
    • Perform equipment checks and notify management of any issues
    • Provide entertaining tours and create memorable moments for our guests
    • Must enjoy working with adults and children
    • Enjoys working outside in variable summer weather conditions

    Qualifications:

    • Comfortable working at heights
    • First Aid Certification preferred
    • May require a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
    • Experience with zip lines, high ropes, or rock climbing desirable
