Grounds Keeper - Plus
This is a small private ranch. Owned by the same family for five generations. Used by the family for recreation, hiking, horseback riding and fishing. A historic Wyoming ranch. The ranch also grazes horses and raises hay on the many acres of pastureland.
The ranch crew lives and works together to provide exceptional care of the ranch owners. Working and living on this remotely located property offers a lifetime of unique experiences in the wild Wyoming landscape. The ranch is very remote, so crew must enjoy a quiet ranch setting. It is in a beautiful mountain location with access to thousands of acres of private and public land for hiking and fishing. The ranch is close to the NE entrance to Yellowstone National Park and 1.5 hours from Cody Wy and Red Lodge MT.
The Grounds Keeper will be primarily responsible for all grounds maintenance but also assist with other aspects of ranch operations.
Grounds Maintenance
Fertilizing, mowing, trimming and watering
Sprinkler system operation and maintenance
Landscape maintenance
Fence repair
Cutting and splitting firewood
Hay production
Assist Maintenance Manager when needed
Requirements
Self-starter with a positive attitude
Experience with zero turn lawn mowers
Ability to use a variety of power tools
Chainsaw experience
Ability to operate an ATV
The ranch crew works together, with flexibility and excellent communication skills to maintain a positive attitude in all situations. We promote a lighthearted, fun atmosphere and with no drama.
Monthly salary, end of season bonus, all meals and private living quarters with a semi-private bath are all included. The position starts May 19th, 2025 and ends Sept 5th, 2025.
Previous experience is preferred, and excellent people skills are required.
