Our Children's Counselors are celebrities here at Bar Lazy J--they're everyone's favorite! Come live in the Rocky Mountains and enjoy working in the outdoors with kids ages 3-12 doing various planned activities. Ride horses, feed the petting farm animals, learn to rope and do archery so you can teach the kids, swim at the pool, fish in the stocked trout pond or the river, do fun and interesting crafts like leatherwork, and SO much more! Housing and excellent food (the same as our ranch guests!) is included on top of your pay and you are welcome to use all the ranch amenities on your time off. Come and spend an unforgettable summer and make someone else's summer unforgettable at the same time!

From cleaning cabins, waiting tables, doing turn-down, working in the laundry room, setting up for meals and other miscellaneous tasks, our crew ensure the details our taken care of. We seek individuals who are great with people, are detail-oriented, can work quickly and efficiently and would love to enjoy all the amenities of a guest ranch on their time off! Wranglers and Children's Wranglers

Come ride the Rockies! Who wouldn't LOVE to be paid to ride horses? Wranglers must demonstrate good horsemanship skills on and off horseback and possess excellent communication skills. Our guests LOVE the wranglers and love a great conversation on a long ride through the mountains. Wranglers are responsible for leading trail rides, feeding, grooming and tacking the horses, jingling the 100+ herd in the mornings and fence and trail maintenance. We seek "horse-people" who are on time, motivated, safety-minded, enthusiastic and great in a team setting. Wranglers must be able to stay through the entire season and Children's Wranglers must be available until late August. Lodging and excellent food is included on top of hourly pay! Wranglers receive 2 days off each week so you'll have plenty of time to enjoy the outdoors and adventures our area has to offer. Kitchen Assistant
Our kitchen assistant is so important to making the guests' experience top notch! After a long day in the saddle or enjoying other ranch activities, meal times are what everyone looks forward to! This position assists the chef and sous chef with prepping food for meals, plating breakfast and dinners, setting up buffets, kitchen clean up and other miscellaneous tasks. Since we offer an open kitchen, you'll find the guests will love to stop and say hello! Lodging and all meals are included on top of an hourly wage for this position. Our staff eats the same as our guests! We seek an individual who is on-time, positive, great in a team setting, efficient with their time, detail oriented and loves putting their culinary talents to work! This position works closely with the head chef to make meal time a favorite time at Bar Lazy J. Menu planning, preparation, helping to manage the kitchen, meeting guests dietary need, plating and cleaning up are all part of daily responsibilities. Ranch Hand/Maintenance
Come enjoy the outdoors in the Rockies! Currently seeking a Ranch Hand position to assist with feeding and general maintenance and a Maintenance position for buildings on ranch. Ranch Hand duties may include but not limited to: maintaining grounds by cutting grass, weed-wacking, and watering flowers; maintaining pool and area, small repairs and helping with larger repairs, helping with guest luggage, fixing fence, or anything needed to maintain ranch cleanliness or repairs. This position also helps with the trap shooting, zip-line, hatchet throwing and feeding animals. Ability to operate a Bobcat is helpful. Maintenance position may include, but not limited to: maintaining vehicles, servicing equipment and repairing/maintaining ranch buildings. Must be able to operate equipment and general plumbing/electrical knowledge a huge bonus. We seek individuals who are self-motivated, have a positive attitude and willingness to learn, work great with others, will be friendly and outgoing with our guests and always ready to help where needed. Lodging and excellent food is included on top of hourly pay for ranch hand position and hourly or possible salary for maintenance.
