This position includes onsite housing, PTO and the option to buy an Aspen/Snowmass Ski Pass with our Chamber Discount.

Responsibilities:

First impressions mean a lot to our guests here at Beyul and as a Front Desk and Property Assistant, you will play a crucial role in shaping our guests' experiences. This position is split between two key departments: part of your week will be spent at the front desk and the other with the property team.

As part of the Front Desk team, responsibilities include managing booking platforms, assisting retreat attendees, and occasionally helping our food and beverage team. You’ll also assist in running our beautifully curated retail space, Mossy Rock Mercantile, which offers unique and special items for guests to purchase.

As part of the Property Assistant, you’ll keep our grounds well-maintained and inviting year-round. In winter months, your primary focus will be supporting snow removal, ensuring safe and accessible pathways, and performing general cabin maintenance.

A guest-focused attitude and strong teamwork skills are essential for this role. If you're known for being organized, detail-oriented, hardworking, proactive, tech-savvy, and value community, this could be the perfect fit for you!

The Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate for the Front Desk and Property Assistant is a computer-savvy, outgoing, and highly organized individual who is excited to live in the backcountry, with access to wilderness right outside your cabin door. You are a MacGyver, a true enthusiast for fixing broken items, who thrives on the satisfaction of transforming the old into new, have strong technical computer skills, and have an affinity for snow-covered landscapes!

This is a live-work opportunity with on-call duties, offering a unique blend of adventure and responsibility.

You're someone who embraces the opportunity to create memorable guest experiences from the first point of contact. You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and can effectively jump between the front desk and property departments as needed.

You are a resourceful problem solver, capable of handling any challenges that may arise with grace and professionalism. Additionally, you demonstrate strong leadership qualities, guiding and motivating your team members to achieve collective goals and deliver exceptional results.

Adaptable and flexible, you thrive in fast-paced environments and remain calm under pressure. You relish the adventure of meeting new people and helping them make the most of their experience. With your natural charisma, you can effortlessly build connections and foster a sense of community at Beyul. Your previous experience in similar roles has honed your skills, allowing you to seamlessly integrate into our dynamic environment.

But more than just a job, you are in search of a community where you can wholeheartedly immerse yourself, embracing a unique blend of living and working harmoniously alongside like-minded individuals who share your values and aspirations. In addition to the tasks required at Beyul Retreat, there is also a communal aspect to this position, within work and lifestyle. Beyul Retreat has a small, committed team that requires strong social skills and emotional intelligence. We hope to find people who can work collaborative, iterate on procedures constantly, and communicate effectively in a wide variety of contexts.

2023 Employee Testimonial:

“Working at Beyul has been an unparalleled experience. The Beyul community is incredibly welcoming and Beyul itself is just magical. With everyone living on site we really did become a little Beyul family from family meals, cooking in the communal staff kitchen, hanging together in the staff lounge, mid-day river dips, evening sauna sessions, and the communal hustle of delivering flawless events.
As an employer, Beyul is a rare breed. From training, to management, to the daily workings, the Beyul team has it dialed and it felt effortless to jump into my role and feel part of the team. The team is small enough that everyone is a crucial part of the whole and I loved how well we all worked together.
I have so much respect and admiration for the Beyul team and their vision, and they actually walk their talk in business and as humans, which is a rare and beautiful thing. With all the wonderful things Beyul has to offer as an employee, the people are truly what make the experience.
If you love nature, know how to be in community, and enjoy working as a team to deliver top-quality event after event, then I would not hesitate to work here. I'm quite convinced there’s no other place like it.
