Currently recruiting for the season that runs from June 11th, 2025 to August 16th, 2025.
- Extensive experience running in environmental education or outdoor adventure (hiking, camping, outdoor skills)
- Excellent knowledge of environmental education and the ability to teach and lead
- Train counselor staff both during orientation and ongoing training throughout the summer
- Supervise instruction during activity periods
- Organize and create schedules for lessons and make up lessons
- Supervise staff including formal performance reviews of activity staff throughout the summer
- WFA, First Aid certification preferred but not necessary
- Setting up and Leading Evening Activities and Special Events
- Assisting with baggage delivery
- Supporting cabin staff with packing and unpacking of camper bags
- Lead off camp trips-supervising counselors and campers when needed
- Evening On Duty rotation
- Present and participating at all camp meals and all camp events
- Answering phones
- Camp wide announcements
- Printing/mailing letters
- Running reports
- Filing
- Completing copy jobs for staff members and other basic duties.
- Facilitating camper phone calls
- Greeting and speaking with prospective families
Outdoor Adventure Director
Our outdoor adventure director is responsible for all aspects of their program area from supervising staff and designing curriculum to area maintenance and staff scheduling.
As a member of our leadership team, you are an integral part of our community and have responsibilities outside your activity area. You are a role model and will be called upon to assist and help in various aspects of camp. Some responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Office Staff
The office staff is the first point of contact for all staff, campers and camper families, while they are at camp. This is a great job for someone who wants to be in a camp setting but work in an administrative type role, and not live with campers but live with other adults.
The office staff are responsible for facilitating the efficient and effective operation of the Wico office. The camp office is the center for all areas of camp. Office staff members interact with the camp community and keep information flowing smoothly from one area of camp to another.

In addition to the above the office staff needs to be able to effectively receive and route all mail/e-mail/messages to the correct campers and staff. Must be comfortable on the phone and using basic computer programs.
