Looking for a positive team player, comfortable with casual high volume operation.
In addition to hourly pay and server tip-out, our Back of the House positions earns a revenue-sharing distribution paid out on every pay period. The position may grow into a year-round job for the right candidate. Affordable housing, excellent wi-fi, hiking, and ski trails just steps from the property.

AM Line Cook Job Description
Summary: The AM Line Cook at Cascade Lodge is responsible for preparing high-quality meals during the morning and early afternoon shifts. This role requires adherence to food safety standards, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment. The AM Line Cook plays a key role in ensuring that our guests receive prompt and delicious meals, contributing to their overall dining experience.

Food Preparation:
Prepare and cook breakfast and lunch items according to the menu and guest specifications.
Ensure that all food is cooked to the appropriate temperature and standards of Cascade Lodge.
Prepare ingredients by following recipes, slicing, cutting, and mixing.

Kitchen Operations:
Operate kitchen equipment such as grills, ovens, fryers, and other equipment safely and efficiently.
Maintain a clean and organized workstation throughout the shift.
Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines, including proper food handling, storage, and disposal.
Assist in the daily setup and breakdown of the kitchen.

Quality Control:
Monitor food quality throughout the shift to ensure consistency and excellence.
Work with the kitchen team to ensure dishes are completed in a timely manner.
Address and correct any food preparation issues as they arise.

Collaboration:
Communicate effectively with the kitchen staff, including the Sous Chef and other cooks, to ensure a smooth and efficient operation.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to manage food orders and accommodate guest requests.
Assist with inventory management and report any shortages or needs to the Kitchen Manager.

Health & Safety Compliance:
Adhere to all food safety regulations and Cascade Lodge’s policies.
Ensure all cooking and preparation equipment is cleaned and sanitized after each use.
Handle and store food items properly to prevent contamination.
Qualifications:
Previous cooking experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment preferred.
Strong understanding of food safety practices and health regulations.
Ability to work efficiently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality dishes.
Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Physical Demands:
Ability to stand for extended periods.
Frequent walking, bending, and lifting of up to 30 pounds.
Ability to work in a hot, fast-paced environment.
Reporting Structure: This position reports directly to the AM Lead Line Cook and the Kitchen Manager, and indirectly to the Restaurant Manager.
