Overview:
Cliff Dwellers Lodge is seeking an experienced Kitchen Manager to oversee kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality and kitchen efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess a strong culinary background, demonstrated leadership skills, and a commitment to maintaining exceptional kitchen practices.
Key Responsibilities:

Operational Leadership:
Directly supervise kitchen staff, including line cooks and prep cooks, fostering a collaborative and productive environment.
Implement and enforce kitchen policies and procedures to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Food Preparation and Cooking:
Oversee food preparation and cooking processes, ensuring adherence to cooking times and temperatures for optimal food safety.
Conduct regular quality checks on all food items before they are served to guests.

Inventory Management:
Monitor inventory levels, conducting regular stock takes and placing orders as necessary to ensure the availability of essential ingredients.
Implement effective cost-control measures to minimize waste and maximize profitability.

Staff Training and Development:
Train new kitchen staff in culinary techniques, food safety practices, and operational procedures.
Conduct ongoing training sessions to enhance staff skills and maintain high-performance standards.

Collaboration with Front-of-House:
Communicate effectively with front-of-house staff to coordinate timing for food orders and ensure smooth service delivery.
Address any service issues or guest concerns promptly to enhance the dining experience.

Sanitation and Cleanliness:
Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, ensuring that all equipment and workstations meet sanitation standards.
Oversee the cleaning schedule and ensure compliance with local health department regulations.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years in a supervisory or management restaurant position.
Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
Proven ability to lead a team in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
