At Crazy Mountain Ranch, The Golf Course Equipment Operator reports to the Director of Golf Course and Grounds/ Assistant Superintendents while performing various golf course maintenance tasks. The Equipment Operator will be directly involved in a variety of maintenance assignments associated with the care of golf course greens, tees, fairways and other golf course features and areas. Maintenance operations will be performed utilizing a vast assortment of specialized equipment, machinery, utility vehicles and hand tools.

Job Duties

  • Operate various types of mowing equipment on the golf course in the maintenance of turfgrass areas.
  • Equipment operation includes self-propelled walk mowers, trimmers, utility vehicles, light weight mowing equipment and other specialty machinery utilized in golf course maintenance work.
  • The Equipment Operator contributes to the maintenance operation by performing other labor tasks with various hand tools and specialized golf course power equipment.
  • The Equipment Operator will also be involved with several types of construction related projects throughout the golf course.
  • Maintains fuel and fluid levels for all types of equipment daily while also ensuring the proper cleaning and care procedures.
  • Reports equipment problems to the Equipment Manager.
  • Participates in cleaning maintenance areas and operates within the safety training procedures.

Competencies

  • Experience working with mowing equipment or similar machinery.
  • Previous experience working in the maintenance of a golf course, grounds, or similar outdoor areas.

Qualifications

  • Ability to work outdoors in different weather condition environments.
  • Knowledge of safe and efficient mechanical operation of equipment and motorized vehicles.
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Possess an ability to follow written and oral directions.
