Reservations Team Lead

What YOU Do: The Reservations Team Lead will report to the Passenger Logistics Supervisor but work closely with: Dock Vendors/Booking agencies, Passengers, Lead Dock Representative, and Dispatch. They are stationed at Coastal Helicopter’s base (located near the Juneau International Airport) in the Call Center. While this role is a customer service role, it’s not customer-facing. Primary interaction with our guests is via remote channels: phone, email, etc. General areas of oversight include:
- Support the Call Center through weather cancellations or itinerary changes with guests
- Maintaining clear communication with Drivers, Dispatch, Reservationists, and Supervisors about passenger particulars (ADA, Car seat, no-shows, etc.)
- Providing continual support training for Reservation Agents as needed and assisting in the development of both new and mid-season hires
- Ensure clear communication is had with guests (weather cancellations, answering phone calls, responding to customer queries,etc.)
- Manage email system; assigning focus tasks to ensure daily responsibilities are being completed in a timely manner
- Keeping the team aligned in vision and execution
- Review reservations to ensure accuracy; processing records of payments, refunds, and special requests
- Monitor day-of sales and available aircraft space
- Daily assignment of responsibilities/ areas of focus
- Manage and mitigate customer grievances
- Preemptively communicate about guest anomalies (split parties, etc)
- Assist with maintaining a “Call Center Manual” and other resources
- Assist with organizing fundraising/seasonal staff events
- Flexing into other duties/responsibilities outside the scope of the position
What YOU Need:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- Past working experience in the following areas (or comparable):
**Field of aviation or high volume tourism
**Call Center environment with heavy call volume/ customer interaction through various mediums
- Prior track record of leading, developing, and growing a team
- Experience training team members and providing continuous constructive feedback
- Comfortability working in an ever
-changing, busy environment
- General core competencies: Google Suite, e-mail, answering phones, communication systems (I.E. Slack)
- Some working knowledge of email management systems

Tour Operations Specialist

Who YOU Are: The Tour Operations Specialist role is not considered “entry level” but rather one for experienced individuals looking to further develop skills in a supportive environment. This role is complex in nature and requires the ability to manage multiple moving components within daily operations simultaneously and much coordination with other roles. The Tour Ops team works to ensure that the aircraft balances and take off can happen safely in addition to being the primary liaison between base and our Dog Camp operation. Ops personnel are:

What YOU Do: Tour Operations Specialists are based in the tour office at Coastal Helicopter’s and are under the direction of the Tour Operations Supervisor. They work closely with: Lead Tour Attendants, Tour Attendants, and Dispatch. General priorities are:
- Greeting, weighing, and manifesting guests to balance helicopters upon arrival at Tour Office
- Using FareHarbor platform and company software to manifest parties in advance to expedite check-in process
- Tracking fuel and ballast usage; Communicating any constraints to Flight Operations
- Updating Flight Ops, Dispatch, Lead tour attendant, and Manager on Duty of any aircraft concern or passenger anomalies
- Addressing parties with any issues such as weight restrictions or “split party” requirements
- Managing all communication from Dog Camp regarding provision and crew needs
- Overseeing Dog Camp cargo operations: tracking, loading/unloading; communicating with Lead tour attendant regarding any movement
- Taking payment for merchandise/ restocking merchandise when need be
- Flexing into other duties/ responsibilities outside scope of position

What YOU Do: Lead Tour Attendants report to the Tour Operations Supervisor but support Tour Attendants in a leadership capacity. They also work closely with: Fellow Lead Tour Attendants, Tour Attendants, Tour Operations and Dispatch. Their base is the tour office at Coastal Helicopters. Position priorities include:
- Generating and enforcing Tour Attendant’s schedule (breaks, lunches, and assigning aircraft)
- Assuming tour attendant responsibilities as needed
- Ensuring TAs abide by ALL airport and Coastal Helicopter’s safety protocols; loading/unloading helicopters safely and accurately
- Leading daily huddles with tour attendants; Be in communication with Manager on Duty regarding any safety concerns
- Assisting in the training and development of new tour attendants
- Delegating opening, closing, bi-weekly, and monthly tasks for Tour Attendants
- Maintaining aircraft schedule; ownership of the active ramp and listen to the tour headset to communicate with pilots if necessary
- Flexing into other duties/responsibilities outside scope of position
What YOU Need:
- Permission to work in the U.S. unrestricted - Coastal Helicopters is unable to sponsor Visa holders
- 18+ years old with a High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Driver’s license
- At least one season of work at Coastal or experience with aviation and/or high-volume tourism preferred

- Ability to lift up to 80lbs, be on feet for most of shift, and walk long distances
- CPR/ First aid certified; available through Coastal

What YOU Do: The Tour Attendant role is designed to provide an opportunity to develop operational savviness within a supportive team environment. TAs will be based in the Tour Office at Coastal Helicopters under the guidance of the Lead Tour Attendants. They work closely with: Tour Operations and fellow Tour Attendants. General priorities include:
- Participating in morning safety meetings under the direction of LTA
- Being trained in airport/Coastal Helicopter’s safety protocols; lead and direct guests to abide by
- Assisting guests with doffing/donning gear (glacier boots/ rain gear)
- Leading guests through large/small group safety briefings before being escorted to aircraft
- Entertaining guests while waiting for their aircraft and help guide their experience before take-off
- Reading, understanding, and executing passenger manifests; work with Lead Tour Attendant to maintain aircraft schedule
- Being in communication with lead tour attendant regarding manifest, pilot, or other safety hazards immediately
- Maintaining gear; reporting any problems to Lead Tour Attendant
- General Tour Office Upkeep
- Tracking of aircraft specifics (ballast, freight, fuel)
- Escorting and loading guests safely to/from the aircraft
- Flexing into other duties/responsibilities outside scope of position

Who YOU Are: This is NOT an office job! Drivers get the opportunity to be a part of the community and on the docks outside downtown Juneau. Drivers are the brand ambassadors responsible for ensuring the safe transport of guests to and from our Heliport. They give our guests the final good-bye and are the essential entertainers that make our guests feel welcome and well tended to. Drivers are:

What YOU Do: Drivers report to the Passenger Logistics Supervisor but work closest with: Lead Dock Rep, Dock Reps, and Dispatch. Drivers make frequent loops between various pick-up locations and the tour office. As Juneau can experience a variety of weather conditions throughout the day, it’s important to be dressed appropriately. General position priorities include:
- Working in coordination with Dispatch and Lead Dock Reps to pick up and drop off guests for their tour in a 14-passenger van
- Operating Coastal’s vehicle safely and responsibly; communicating any vehicle issues to Manager on Duty
- Maintaining clear communication with Dispatch and Lead Dock Rep about any issues
- Delivering weather cancellation news if guests are in the van
- Assisting passengers with their boots following their tour
- Vehicle upkeep using weekly/monthly cleaning checklists
- Accurate filling out the pre-ride inspection each day and get approved to depart from Dispatch
- General van maintained and free of personal belongings, trash, etc
- Flexing into other duties/responsibilities outside scope of position

What YOU Do: Dispatchers are under the direction of the Passenger Logistics Supervisor and work closely with: Dock Reps, Drivers, Tour Operations, and Lead Tour Attendants. This is an office role based in the tour office at Coastal Helicopters with the scope of the role including:
- Using the Fareharbor platform to build and manage Drivers' daily schedules; communicating any updates accordingly.
- Generating next day driving schedules by 1200; communicate any changes to staff by 1700
- Updating Bi-weekly Schedule as needed
- Assigning vans and phones to drivers; communicate any vehicle issues to Manager on Duty
- Being in communication with Drivers and Lead Dock Reps regarding any last-minute guest particulars (i.e. Car seats, ADA, etc)
- Approving van checks completed daily by Drivers
- Flexing into other duties/ responsibilities outside scope of position

Additionally, agents work closely with: Lead Dock Rep, Dock Reps, and Dispatch. This is an office based role in the Call Center at Coastal Helicopters. General priorities include:
- Answering phone calls and responding to emails regarding our products
- Accurately generate bookings for guests on our tours including last minute/day of sales
- Ensuring FareHarbor is kept up to date
- Maintaining communication with the vendors who sell our tours
- Staying apprised of the Cruise Ship schedule and any itinerary changes
- Communicating with Manager on Duty and Dispatch about any last-minute passenger updates (i.e. Carseat, ADA, etc)
- With the assistance of the Lead Dock Rep, communicate any itinerary changes/weather cancellations to guests
What YOU Need:

- Maintaining aircraft schedule; ownership of the active ramp and listen to the tour headset to communicate with pilots if necessary

What YOU Need:
- Permission to work in the U.S. unrestricted - Coastal Helicopters is unable to sponsor Visa holders
- 18+ years old with a High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Driver’s license
- At least one season of work at Coastal or experience with aviation and/or high-volume tourism preferred
- Ability to obtain airport badge with driver certification
- Customer service experience
- Ability to lift up to 80lbs, be on feet for most of shift, and walk long distances
- CPR/ First aid certified; available through Coastal

Dock Representative

Who YOU Are: The Dock Rep role is designed to be an entry point into the tourism industry. It provides an opportunity to learn, grow and develop within a supportive team environment. This is NOT an office role! Dock reps are our world-class brand ambassadors that work in the community downtown! They are comfortable storytellers and engaging communicators that are energized by the influx of fresh faces that visit Juneau daily. Dock Reps are:
- Punctual (timely; arrive to work dressed and ready for success)
- Detail oriented
- Professional (appropriate style of communication for a diverse audience)
- Empathetic (able to deliver bad news with kindness and compassion)
- Mature (self-managed, can manage time/tasks with minimal supervision)
- Commanding in nature (can assume control and direct large groups of people)
What YOU Do: Dock Reps report to the Passenger Logistics Supervisor but work closely with: Lead Dock Rep, Drivers, and Dispatch. They are stationed in downtown Juneau at the Goldbelt Tram pick-up location. Juneau can experience a variety of weather conditions throughout the day so it’s important to be dressed appropriately. General priorities include:
- Gathering and checking-in guests for each departure and connecting them with their assigned Driver. Assist in loading passengers into vans
- Being in communication with Drivers, Dispatch, and Lead Dock Rep about any passenger issues
- Assisting Lead Dock Rep in canceling guests when necessary
- Filling out the pre-ride inspection form for the Dock Rep vehicle - Communicating with Dispatch and Manager on Duty regarding any vehicle concerns that arise
- Flexing into other duties/ responsibilities outside scope of position
What YOU Need:

- Driver’s license (18+ years old only)
- Able to be on feet for majority of shift
Job Type:
- Full Season (April 21, 2025 through October 8, 2025)
- Peak Season (Mid May 2025 through Mid August 2025 (50% - 75% of season))
- Partial Season (Less than 50% ( dates vary))
- Full time workers can generally expect 40-50 hours per week (may vary slightly due to inclement weather/ outside peak season)
- Part time workers can generally expect 20-30 hours per week (may vary slightly due to inclement weather/ outside peak season)
