    Coons Franklin Lodge is looking for a talented and dedicated Garde Manger to join our culinary team for the season from June to September 2025. As the Garde Manger, you will prepare cold dishes and ensure our guests receive exceptional quality and presentation in every meal. Coons Franklin Lodge, a cherished vacation destination since 1892, offers a stunning backdrop on Trout Lake and provides a wide range of recreational activities that guests can enjoy throughout their stay.

    In this crucial role, you will prepare salads, charcuterie, dressings, and other cold food items while maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation. Your creativity and attention to detail will help enhance our menu offerings and create memorable dining experiences.

    Culinary

    Breakfast Cook June- September 2025

    $17.00 - $21.00 / hour + tips

    As a Breakfast Cook, you will have the opportunity to showcase your culinary skills and contribute to our guests' overall satisfaction. You will work closely with the kitchen team to prepare and serve high-quality breakfast dishes, including eggs, bacon, pancakes, fresh fruit, and a variety of baked goods. You will also have the chance to connect with guests and deliver exceptional service while ensuring all dietary preferences and restrictions are accommodated.

    • Prepare and cook breakfast dishes according to recipes and guest preferences
    • Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and taste
    • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during breakfast service
    • Monitor inventory levels and place orders for ingredients and supplies
    • Adhere to food safety and sanitation regulations
    • Clean and maintain kitchen equipment and utensils
    • Provide exceptional customer service and address guest inquiries and concerns
    Culinary

    Line Cook - June thru Sept 2025

    $17.00 - $21.00 / hour + tips

    Line Cook

    Responsibilities

    • Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and portion sizes
    • Ensure food quality and presentation meet the lodge's standards
    • Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines, keeping the kitchen clean and organized
    • Collaborate with the kitchen team to plan and execute menus
    • Monitor food inventory and place orders as needed to maintain adequate supplies
    • Assist in the training and development of kitchen staff
    • Adhere to all health and safety regulations

    Education and Experience:

    • Prior related experience preferred.

    Physical Requirements:

    • Prolonged periods of standing and working in a kitchen.
    • Exposure to extreme heat, steam, and cold present in a kitchen environment.
    • Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds at times.
    • Manual dexterity to cut and chop foods and perform other related tasks.
    • Familiar with the industry’s best practices
    • Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
    Grounds

    Waterfront Staff - June- September 15, 2025

    $13.00 - $16.00 / hour + tips

    The Waterfront Staff is responsible for all watercraft and equipment, cares for the beach and waterfront, and provides instruction on proper equipment use. They may also assist with all resort activities. The staff performs outstanding guest service on a daily basis, maintains interdepartmental lines of communication, and interacts daily with guests and resort staff.

    Supervisory Responsibilities:

    • None.

    Duties/Responsibilities:

    • Assists guests with boats, skis, and waterfront equipment.
    • Cleans and cares for the beach, swim area, docks, boats, and work areas.
    • Drive pontoon boats and other watercraft.
    • Instruct guests on the use of all non-motorized watercraft.
    • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the boathouse.
    • Make sure relevant paperwork is completed and turned in.
    • Reports any equipment damage and
    • Performs other duties as assigned.

    Required Skills/Abilities:

    • Ability to follow instructions from supervisors.
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

    Education and Experience:

    • CPR, First Aid, and WI boating license required prior to first shift
    • On-the-job training offered.

    Physical Requirements:

    • A valid driver’s license, CPR and AHD certification, and WI boater's license. 
    • Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
    • Exposure to natural elements and changing weather
    • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.

    Grounds

    Grounds Crew May 15- October 1, 2025

    $15.00 - $18.00 / hour + tips

    Coons Franklin Lodge, a historic American Plan resort located on Trout lake, is seeking a dedicated and hardworking Grounds Crew Member to join our team. As a member of our grounds crew, you will play a vital role in maintaining the beauty and functionality of our resort grounds. Alongside our experienced team, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the overall guest experience and ensure that our facilities remain in top condition.

    At Coons Franklin Lodge, we take pride in our rich history and commitment to providing exceptional service to our guests. Our idyllic location on the shores of Trout lake offers a variety of water sports and outdoor activities, ensuring a memorable experience for our guests. With 28 cabins and a main lodge dating back to 1892, Coons Franklin Lodge offers a charming and rustic atmosphere where generations of families have created treasured memories.

     

    Responsibilities

    • Deliver firewood and Ice to cabins daily
    • Perform routine grounds maintenance tasks such as mowing, trimming, and edging lawns and gardens
    • Assist with landscaping projects, including planting, weeding, and mulching
    • Maintain cleanliness of outdoor areas, including removing debris and litter
    • Conduct regular inspections of the grounds to identify and address any issues or hazards
    • Operate and maintain various groundskeeping equipment and tools
    • Assist in the maintenance and repair of resort facilities, including buildings, fireplaces, courts, fences, and pathways
    • Collaborate with other team members to ensure a safe and attractive environment for our guests

    Physical Requirements:

    • A Valid Driver’s License
    • Prior experience in groundskeeping or landscaping is preferred
    • Ability to operate groundskeeping equipment such as lawnmowers, trimmers, and chainsaws
    • Physical strength and stamina to perform manual tasks in outdoor environments
    • Knowledge of plants, flowers, and garden maintenance techniques
    • Attention to detail and ability to notice and address issues promptly
    • Strong communication and teamwork skills
    • Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
    • Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend, or crawl into awkward spaces.
    • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
