Eleven is seeking a team-oriented and flexible Lodge & Prep Cook to support the Colorado Culinary team with food preparations, transportation, and meal service throughout Eleven’s entire Colorado footprint. This position will systematically execute food prep and transportation with quality and efficiency, as well as assist the team with managing food inventory and maintaining a clean, food-safe, and organized kitchen. This position requires at least 1 year of food and beverage experience. The ideal candidate will have a team orientation with flexibility and willingness to do what is needed to complete Colorado Culinary team goals and meet guest needs and expectations. These are full and part-time, seasonal positions starting at $21/hour, depending on experience and qualifications. The Summer season runs from May through October. Position Purpose

  • The Lodge & Prep Cook will support the Colorado Culinary team with food preparations, transportation, and meal service throughout Eleven’s entire Colorado footprint.  The incumbent will have the opportunity to learn about our dynamic and unique resort destinations by Eleven.  

Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks

  • Perform at a high level in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment while maintaining a respectful, calm composure and fostering a team environment.
  • Use strong communication skills to maintain clear communications with all culinary and Eleven staff, as well as uphold optimal operational performance.
  • Stay up-to-date and knowledgeable about the staff schedule. 
  • Regularly check company email, thoroughly read all emails, and respond in a timely manner.
  • Become knowledgeable and assist the CO Culinary team as needed in managing food inventory; stocking food inventory based on demand, shopping, receiving orders, submitting vendor invoices, and maintaining monthly inventory audits
  • Become knowledgeable and assist the CO Culinary team in maintaining a clean, food-safe, and organized kitchen, ensuring all equipment is properly used and cared for while keeping an accurate and up-to-date inventory record.
  • Systematically execute food preparations and transportation with precision, attention to detail, quality, and efficiency.
  • Interact with guests professionally and with confidence to make sure they are having the best possible experience.
  • Assist the CO Culinary team as needed to host special events at all Eleven Colorado properties and off-site.

Qualifications

  • Previous food and beverage service experience of at least 1 year.

Special Position Requirements

  • Team orientation with flexibility and willingness to do what is needed to complete Colorado Culinary team goals and meet guest needs and expectations, e.g. working long hours, weekends, holidays, swing shifts, or switching days off if needed, etc.

Work Requirements

  • Ability to walk, kneel, reach, and stand for long periods. 
  • Ability to taste and smell food items.
  • Ability to regularly lift and relocate up to 50 pounds, and frequently lift and relocate up to 10 pounds
  • Ability to safely work in extreme temperatures, including walk-in refrigerators/freezers and kitchen lines.
  • Ability to safely and accurately work in loud and noisy environments. 
  • Ability to travel between locations in Almont and Crested Butte, CO: 25%
