Café Manager

The Feel Good Café is a fast-paced morning cafe, created to enhance the morning experience of our guests at the Bavarian Inn, Black Hills.  Located on one of the Black Hills' busiest highways, we expect to serve over 50,000 guests again this season.  Our season begins on May 8 and runs through September.  Our café is open from 6:30 am-11 am each day.

We are looking for an experienced food service leader with exceptional customer service skills.  An upbeat, can-do disposition is essential.  This position works side-by-side with a small team of 3-5 people per shift, leading by example and becoming an expert on food prep, baking breakfast items, Toast POS, and presentation of all food & drinks.

The ideal candidate has experience in a coffee shop, restaurant, or bakery and a desire to create the best experience possible for team members and guests. 

We offer $20 per hour + overtime + tips and a season-end bonus based on performance.  You can expect a work schedule of 6-7 days per week at the cafe and still have every afternoon free to explore and enjoy!  Additional work may be available at the Bavarian Inn, Black Hills if interested, and will be paid at the same pay rate. Overtime wages apply for all hours exceeding 40 in a work week.

The Cafe Manager will work closely with the owners to carry out the company vision of the entire 5.5-acre Bavarian Inn, Black Hills property.

Housing is available.  We have a freshly remodeled, studio apartment in downtown Custer for a small fee, including great wifi and all utilities.
