    Do you have a passion for horses and people alike? Join our wrangler team and work with our herd of over 100 horses and take our guests out to explore our beautiful 2,000-acre ranch.

    Wranglers are accountable for, but not limited to the following:

    • Works with Barn manager and Livestock manager to maintain all livestock needs
    • Maintaining the lawn care, fencing, painting, pasture irrigation and other areas of the Ranch
    • Being a hard worker that understands cowboy values and a strong work ethic
    • Participating in and guiding horse related activities, including trail rides, lessons and arena activities
    • Works with Barn Manager to maintain the safest barn and ranch environment possible
    • Curating a fun and family friendly horse program, including small children
    • Working with Barn Manager and Lead Wrangler to keep all riding programs on schedule
    • Maintain a positive and professional approach with fellow staff and guests
    • Willingness to help in other departments or wherever needed on the Ranch
    • Responsible for keeping constant radio contact on trail rides and clear communication of whereabouts
    • Portraying the cowboy image and western style at all times
    • Must be capable of being on your feet for up to 8 hours a day, as well as lifting and carrying up to 75 lbs.

    Our all-inclusive dude ranch now provides wine, beer, and liquor! Join our Saddle Sore Saloon Bartending team for our 2025 season!

    Accountable for, but not limited to:

    • Works with the Executive Chef, Group Sales Coordinator and FLL management team to execute all events, on-site activities, and conferences.
    • Works closely with the Group Sales Coordinator for event set up, tear down, cleaning and working the events
    • Responsible for beverage set up in coordination with the Group Sales Coordinator and Executive Chef for all events and activities at the conference center, event locations and Saddle Sore Saloon
    • Maintains the conference center & outdoor event facilities. Including: cleaning, watering, stocking supplies, etc.
    • Maintain and improve Inventory management
    • Works with the Executive Chef to develop the Saddle Sore Saloon Wine List
    • Help establish local beverage connections and helping expose guest to the local products
    • Maintains desired margins and price standards determined by FLL management

    Our gift shop is a center hub here at Flathead Lake Lodge. Join our team and assist with inventory, including receiving and stocking.

    Accountable for, but not limited to:

    • Welcome customers, maintain knowledge and help them with the selection of merchandise
    • Communicate information regarding product availability and product knowledge.
    • Answer the telephone in a pleasant and caring way
    • Participate in counting store’s physical inventory

    Ranch Hands are accountable for, but not limited to:

    • Performing grounds keeping and lawn maintenance duties-mow, weed-eat, prune, blow paved areas

    We are currently hiring for laundry attendants! This role is a partner to housekeeping and operates our washing and drying machines, folding sheets, and guest laundry.

    Laundry staff is accountable for, but not limited to:

    • Receives and sorts cloths and linens according to fiber, color, and soiled condition
    • Operates washers and dryers in accordance with safety standards
    • Notifies Maintenance of any repairs needed in a timely fashion
    • Coordinate and execute the Guest laundry process

    Flathead Lake Lodge has an awesome new 3D archery course, and we need someone to safely teach our guests how to use bows and arrows.

    Archery Instructors are accountable for, but not limited to:

    • Developing, managing, and coordinating all programing and guest activities associated with Archery
    • Working with all FLL departments to create the best guest experience possible
    • Leading guests of all ages on organized and informative excursions

    Hiking Guide / Naturalist

    Do you love hiking and want to explore the trails of Northwestern Montana? Take our guest on a variety of hikes and join our Outdoor pursuits team!

    Hiking Guide is accountable for, but not limited to:

    • Leading guests of all ages on organized and informative excursions 
    • Educating themselves on the local ecology, geology, history, and culture so that they are well-prepared to interpret these aspects of the area to the guest
    • Outline the hiking schedule
    • Reporting for work ready for the hike with the essential gear needed.  
    • Make sure that both the First Aid kit, radio, and the cell phone are on their person. 
    • Greeting each guest, brief them on the plans for the activity and provide transportation to the hikes.
    • Give a detailed safety briefing and assess each guest on their ability to participate in the activity.
    • Maintaining control and leadership over the activity and providing valuable interpretive knowledge for the guests.
    • Being prepared to perform the duties of support staff when hikes are not scheduled.
    • Safely operating a 15-passenger van on local roads and highways – MUST BE 21 YEARS OLD
    • Maintaining a positive and professional approach with fellow staff and guests.
    • Willingness to help in other departments or wherever needed on the Ranch

    Mountain Bike Guide

    Explore our new on-property mountain bike trails and share your passion for mountain biking!

    Mountain Bike Guides are accountable for, but not limited to:

    • Developing, managing, and coordinating all programing and guest activities associated with the Mountain biking activities
    • Developing new guest activities across Mountain Biking operations at Flathead Lake Lodge. Activities that are built on Flathead Lake Lodge’s vision, operating principles, and culture
    • Knowledgeable of all aspects of the guest experience, ranch history, Bigfork, and surrounding area.
    • Leading guests of all ages on organized and informative excursions
    • Maintenance of the FLL Mountain Bike fleet
    • Outline the Mountain Biking schedule
    • Reporting for work ready and with the essential gear needed
    • Greeting each guest, brief them on the plans for the activity, fit a bike to them, and transport to trails
    • Giving a detailed safety briefing and assessing each guest on their ability to participate in the activity
    • Safely operating a 15-passenger van on local roads and highways – MUST BE 21 YEARS OLD
    • Provides only first-class service and hospitality in helping all guests.
    • understanding the work first nature of the FLL & QC and is willing to work in, around, and outside the set job description as needed.

    Outdoor Activity Guide

    Do you love outdoor recreation? This summer enjoy guiding our guests on paddle board trips, river floating, hiking, and more!

    Outdoor Activity Guides are accountable for, but not limited to:

    • Executes the daily FLL schedule with the highest level of guest service and enthusiasm
    • Working with all FLL departments to create the best guest experience possible
    • Working with the Outdoor Pursuits Manager on a wide variety of ranch-related jobs and duties
    • Efficiently coordinate, operate, and assist in guest activities which include, but is not limited to:
      • Hiking, mountain biking, children’s program, teen program, elk preserve tours, breakfast camp, bartending, paddleboard trips, airport runs, and shuttle driving
    • Maintaining a safety-first approach onsite at all times
    • Safely operating a 15-passenger van on local roads and highways – MUST BE 21 YEARS OLD
    • Lead Groups on recreational outings
    • Maintaining a first-class presentation of the grounds and facilities for guest enjoyment
    • Reporting for work ready and with the essential gear needed
    • Maintain a positive and professional approach with fellow staff and guests

    Sailing Skipper

    Do you have a passion for sailing and cruising lakes on historic boats? Come try your hand on our two 51′ Q-class racing sloops, the Questa and the nor ‘Easter built in 1928 and 1929.

    Sailing Skipper is accountable for, but not limited to:

    • Responsible for the safety and enjoyment of all passengers.
    • Provide an exciting, educational and enjoyable sailing experience for all ages.
    • Work closely with the Captain to safely sail and operate the boat for daily sails and private charters.
    • Must have knowledge of sailing techniques, practices and prior sailing experience.
    • Responsible for helping train the waterfront staff to help crew the boats
    • Responsible for developing a lessons program for FLL guests
    • Maintains and keeps the boats in a first-class operating condition.
    • Responsible for maintaining boat maintenance, upkeep, and daily tasks related to the operation.
    • Understanding of Flathead Lake Lodge waterfront operations with the ability to help when determined
    • Responsible for filling in on waterfront shifts when needed, including daily chores and watersports
    • Responsible for carrying a radio at all times
    • Perform other duties as assigned

    Enjoy a front-row view of Flathead Lake, the largest freshwater lake in the west, and assist our guests with lake recreation.

    Waterfront Staff is accountable for, but not limited to:

    • Daily operations of all boating, sailing, watersports, pool and lakeside activities at Flathead Lake Lodge
    • Maintaining a safety-first approach, with staff onsite, at the water at all times
    • Daily upkeep of all watercraft and watersports equipment
    • Pool cleanliness and performing pool testing requirements
    • Accomplishing daily chores assigned to waterfront such as building fires, pool area cleanup, etc.
    • Daily watersports activities including set up, tear down, watersports, boat driving, and instruction
    • Working with Sailing Captains to maintain larger boats and sailboats as well as assist with crewing, docking, cleaning, and general operations related to those boats
    • Responsible for the safety and enjoyment of all boat passengers
    • Maintaining a first-class presentation of the waterfront grounds and facilities for guest enjoyment
    • Perform grounds keeping and lawn maintenance duties
    • Executes the daily FLL waterfront schedule with the highest level of guest service and enthusiasm
    • Maintain a positive and professional approach with fellow staff and guests
    • Willingness to help in other departments or wherever needed on the Ranch
    • Must be capable of being on your feet for up to 8 hours a day, as well as lifting and carrying up to 60 lbs.
