    Job Summary:
    To provide security leadership and services for Xanterra South Rim properties and to provide safety and security to guests/employees during overnight hours.

    The Details:
    Position Type: Full-Time, Year-Round
    Pay: $17.30 per hour. Employees working overnight will receive the regular base rate for the position plus an additional $1.00 per hour premium pay. If you are scheduled to work during the day or evening shift, you will not receive the overnight premium pay and will only receive the regular base rate for the position.
    Schedule: May include weekends, evenings, and holidays.

    Responsibilities

    • Supervise and advise the shift patrols.
    • Coordinate the scheduling of the Security Officers.
    • Review and edit the daily incident reports.
    • Adapt to a changing work schedule according to training needs and supervisory coverage.
    • Assure that assigned staff are adhering to the Risk Management and Security Policies and Procedures.
    • Serve as the subject matter expert for all South Rim electronic security and surveillance systems.
    • Ensure the safety and security of all Xanterra South Rim properties by conducting constant patrols by foot and car throughout the property.
    • Assist National Park Service Law Enforcement on the scene and follow instructions/directives given by the scene commander.
    • Maintain a professional working relationship with National Park Service Law Enforcement.
    • Resolve situations within your control and guidelines established by Risk Management, the Security Department, and National Park Service Law Enforcement.
    • Escort Accounting personnel on cash runs and deposit runs, providing security escort service to the accounting personnel.
    • Compile daily logs and write incident reports in a timely and accurate manner.
    • Interact with Housing Department personnel in making rounds through employee housing areas and assisting as needed and/or requested.
    • Enroll, attend, and complete ongoing training classes as determined by the Security Manager
    • Perform BAT and Drug testing on employees per company policy as needed.
    • Adhere to all Safety, Risk Management, and environmental policies.
    • May be called upon to assist in the handling, storage, and/or disposal of hazardous materials.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    • Must possess a valid U.S. driver's License and comply with the Xanterra South Rim Company Vehicle Policy.
    • Must obtain an AZ driver’s License within 90 days of start date.
    • Must be at least twenty-one years of age at the time of hire.
    • Excellent written, verbal, and problem-solving skills; plus, the ability to interact effectively with guests, employees, and other designated officials.
    • Ability to calmly deal with medical, fire, security, or safety situations.
    • Working knowledge of radio communications.
    • CLSO Certified Lodging Security Officer training must be completed within 30 days of hire.
    • BAT and Drug testing training must be completed.

    Safety and Security Employees must be US citizens or legal residents, have no felony convictions, have no theft or drug convictions within the past five years, and have no convictions involving fraud, weapons, sexual assault, or other violent crimes.

    Responsibilities

    • Bake bread, pastries, pies, desserts and confections as directed by the Pastry Chef.
    • Ensure that recipes are followed for all baked goods meeting all quality control standards.
    • Ensure that portion control is maintained for baked items ensuring uniformity.

    Qualifications

    Responsibilities

    • Set tables according house standards and meal period placements.
    • Clear finished tables in an expedient manner.

    Responsibilities

    • Assist managers and employees with information regarding eligibility for leave of absences (LOAs) including FMLA, ADA, as well as short and long-term disability claims.
    • Process all approved paid time off, LOA, FMLA, ADA requests as submitted in accordance with state, federal, and company policies.
    • Compute payment due for insurance premiums for employees who are terminating, transferring and on leave.
    • Follow up on past due insurance payments and communicate with local payroll and accounting offices.

    Qualifications

    Responsibilities

    Responsibilities

    • Deliver and pick up linens from collection pick up and distribution points.
    • Maintain pick and delivery schedules throughout the day.

    Qualifications

    • Must be at least 19 years old
    • Possess valid Arizona Driver’s License and comply with the Xanterra South Rim Company Vehicle Policy.
    • Ability to drive a cube box style truck, including the expertise to back the truck into tight areas for pickup and delivery.
    • Must have good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with and project the image of professionalism, friendliness and willingness to provide personalized service to our varied customer and employee base.

    Physical Requirements include:

    • Ability to meet physical requirements of position, which include repetitive motion of all extremities and the back including continual bending, stooping, twisting, lifting, and long periods of standing/walking.

    Responsibilities

    Responsibilities

    • Utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for the scheduling, planning, and supervision of all Historic Preservation Maintenance in Xanterra’s Grand Canyon National Park Land Assignment.

    • Assist tradesmen in their daily work activities as needed, and mentor less tenured team members in the development of their historic preservation skills.
    • Conduct the necessary research to procure the tools and materials specific to the trade and fabric of the buildings.

    Responsibilities

    Responsibilities

    • Respond to fire calls in Grand Canyon Village, as well as for any fires throughout the South Rim area. Investigate and/or report the incident working within NPS protocols.

    Responsibilities

    • Monitor and evaluate the work performed by assigned staff in craft, ensuring quality timeliness, cost effectiveness and quality workmanship.
    • Complete repairs and preventive maintenance tasks as needed.
    • Know the status of all work orders as pertains to his/her craft.
    • Maintain schedule for assigned staff in craft.
    • Provide on going craft/trade training for assigned staff in craft.
    • Ensure that parts and materials are properly inventoried, specified, requisitioned and used with a minimum of waste by assigned craft personnel.
    • Ensure that assigned craft personnel maintain a clean and safe work area.
    • Give an accurate estimate when requested, of time and material needed for a given project.
    • Assist on capital projects as needed.
    • Maintain good communication with Maintenance Manager and Assistant Manager on all projects/work orders within craft.
    • Be available for after-hours call outs that are craft related.
    • Schedule a daily on-call after hour’s boiler technician.
    • Ensure that assigned craft personnel adhere to all prescribed Company, National Park Service and statutory/regulatory policies and procedures regarding worker safety, risk management, sustainability policies, HAZMAT, HAZCOM, confined space, lockout/tagout and vehicle operation.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    • Minimum seven years’ experience in trade or a Journey certification in craft.
    • Prior supervisory experience minimum of one year.
    • Knowledge of all electrical equipment, controls and components common to high and low pressure boilers, oil and gas fired furnaces, and gas appliances.
    • Knowledge of all related test equipment to maintain the equipment at the highest efficiency level and reduce energy costs.
    • Ability to install and troubleshoot boiler and furnace combustion control devices, gas appliances, furnaces and gas-related equipment.
    • Ability to perform internal cleaning and inspections of both water and fire sides of boilers, which includes chemical treatment, acidizing of water side and soot removal of fire side. Upon approval of state inspector, properly reseal and return boilers to working condition.
    • Ability to remake refractory repairs, roll boiler tubes, change nozzles and filters, clean and adjust electrodes, clean and replace photo cells, and replace oil filters.
    • Knowledge of boiler plumbing, cutting and threading pipe, fittings and installation of all pumps, valves.
    • Knowledge of operation of steam traps, condensate tanks and other steam devices.
    • Ability to train subordinates in the craft based upon the subordinate’s level of expertise and learning ability.
    • Knowledge of uniform building codes pertinent to trade.
    • Good verbal communication skills with ability to give directions clearly.
    • Good organizational skills with ability to plan and complete work projects on time.
    • Possess or obtain a valid Arizona Driver’s License within 90 days of start date and comply with the company Driver Safety Program.

    Responsibilities

    • Continually focus on providing exceptional guest service as a primary goal, both in how work is conducted and when interacting with guests.

    Qualifications

    • General knowledge of guest services with ability to convey information to the guests.
    • Ability to learn about Grand Canyon National Park and our various lodges and room types.

    Responsibilities

    • Responsible for the day-to-day management of the Community Recreation Center.
    • Ensure community programs and accessibility by constant interaction with community residents, groups, businesses and Board of Directors to maximize use of the Recreation Center for all members and of the greater Grand Canyon Community.
    • Responsible for the facility cleanliness, maintenance and security of the Recreation Center and all items therein. Collaborate with the Board of Directors, NPS and Xanterra to make purchases and improvements as needed.

    • Assists and administers annual financial plan for Xanterra South Rim, LLC Recreation Center budget.
    • Create and maintain scholarship program and process for high school students.
    • Supervises recreation center staff including provision of timely performance evaluations; recommends and implements approved discipline; provides staff development; and maintains high standards necessary for efficient, professional operations.
    • Adheres to guidelines, policies and by-laws established by the Board of Directors and Xanterra.
    • Ensure compliance with DOT regulations as they relate to the Recreation Center Van and employee drivers.
    • Oversee routine checks of Recreation Center equipment, makes repairs and/or authorizes purchases of new equipment that are within the established budget.
    • Provide support and awareness to company sustainability policies and practices.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Recreation Management or four years management experience of a recreational facility or equivalent experience.
    • Strong communication and customer service skills to interact with guests, employees, community members, Board of Directors and National Park Service personnel.
    • Strong leadership skills with the ability to problem solve and handle multiple priorities effectively.
    • Demonstrated organizational skills in event and program coordination, planning and execution.
    • Experience and ability to write and manage an annual financial plan.
    • Strong computer skills in Microsoft programs such as Outlook, Excel, Word, as well as bookkeeping software and social media platforms.
    • Knowledge of computer software and hardware to maintain Recreation Center computer lab equipment.
    • Knowledge of weight and fitness equipment use and repair.
    • Ability to acquire CPR/First Aid certification within 6 months of hire.
    • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOT Medical Card within the first 2 weeks in the position.
    • Ability to acquire Food handling certification within 30 days of hire.
    • Ability to acquire Cash Handling certification within 30 days of hire.
    • Ability to obtain a valid Arizona Driver’s License within 30 days of hire and comply with the company Driver Safety Program.
