  • Cafe Cook

    If your the type of person with an outgoing personality and a knack for cooking then this is a great opportunity for you.  The ideal person for this job would be someone who has short order cook experience, able to predict needs and orders food & drinks, change menus as needed, manage a small team & schedules and have some creativity.  Our small onsite cafe offers a limited breakfast and lunch menu.  In addition to our food menu we serve coffee in the morning and beer and spirits in the afternoon.  

  • Driver

    Glacier National Park

    We are looking for drivers that currently hold a minimum of a Class B license with a Passenger endorsement. Drive the boundary of Glacier National Park and deliver rafters to the various river accesses. We have a fun and friendly atmosphere. Join us for a great summer at Glacier National Park!

    Required: Drivers should have a clean driving record, must pass physical and drug/alcohol test, and ability to back up and driving with trailers.  Commercial Driving License (CDL) is a huge plus, but if you don't have a CDL we can help you get one.  

    Responsibilities: Drivers are responsible for daily vehicle inspections and keeping vehicles logs up to date.  Fueling vehicles.  Driving suburbans, mini busses, and large passenger busses with a trailer of rafts to and from river put ins with guests.  Daily cleaning of company vehicles/busses (interior, exterior, and windows).  Works with river managers to operate safe and timely shuttles.

Our Office Staff is the first to interact with our Guests and they are incredibly important to the overall experience of Great Northern Resort. You are the person that gets them excited for their Montana Adventure, and not only that, but you as the Office Staff will host our guests for Weddings, Events, Lodging, and also operates as a concierge service to inform our Guests about trails, and other area opportunities. It is a fast paced,dynamic, and most of all FUN atmosphere that requires a great deal of interaction with the public.

    We schedule to maximize recreation time, as well as have consistent on-clock hours. Office Staff are highly valued to us and frankly is the best way to experience all the joys of a River Company while enjoying steady work hours so you can play on your time off!   • River Guide

    Spend your Summer days on the Middle Fork of the Flathead River guiding both Whitewater and Scenic Float Trips. We are looking for A person who is in above average physical condition who is skilled on mountain rivers in all or any of the following crafts: 14′-18′ Inflatable rafts using both oar frames and paddle assisted, inflatable kayaks, and canoes. This person must be capable of guiding clients of many ages and abilities in varying weather conditions, in order to provide an entertaining, educational and safe experience both on and off the river. At a minimum, guides are required to hold a current certification in Wilderness First Aid and CPR, and a Swift-water Rescue.

    Experience is strongly preferred. We do, however, have the ability to offer education and courses to renew (or for the right candidate-introduce) certs to get you all the training and education you need to be a successful and safe River Guide! 

  • River Coordinator

    The River Coordinators manage the day-to-day operations and oversees a small daily team of 10 -20 river guides. We’re looking to hire leaders who are committed to their team, love sharing nature, and who demonstrate excellence in hospitality, safety, and outdoor leadership. This is a demanding job, but the potential for personal and professional growth is significant.  This position requires coordinating between the reservation staff, river guides, kitchen, and shuttle drivers. In filling this position, we are looking for a leader in the fullest sense of the word—someone driven to work for and with their team. River Coordinators should have a CDL with passenger endorsement or be willing to get one.

  • Fishing Guide

    Do you enjoy offering casting instructing from a raft or drift boat? Are you looking for the chance to take out experienced anglers and novices? Join our team guiding fishing trips on the Wild and Scenic Middle Fork of the Flathead River. Our fishing season runs June through October running both half day and full day trips. Guides must be capable of guiding clients of many ages and abilities in varying weather conditions, in order to provide an entertaining, educational and safe experience both on and off the river. At a minimum, guides are required to hold a current certification in First Aid and CPR and Montana Guides License.

    The Housekeeping Supervisor ensures that the housekeepers in their establishment are completing all tasks correctly and efficiently. They make sure product orders come through, monitor and maintain inventory levels, monitor how well employees are doing, and take corrective actions when necessary to help improve performance levels across-the-board for every staff member engaged in the housekeeping team.

    A Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that the standards of cleanliness are met. They assign tasks, inspect work to ensure it's up to standard, and provide training on how to best handle customers' requests.

    This position also requires that you be comfortable dealing with the public in person. Housekeeping Supervisor is also responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the resort including the office, lodge, and cabins.  Although most of the housekeeping activities and services are related to cleaning it is common to interact with the guests daily. Staff will need to learn about the activities offered and be able to answer general questions about the area. Below are some essential job function details that you can expect:

    • Assist in training new housekeeping staff for day to day duties
    • Monitoring and maintaining inventory levels of chemicals, linens, etc
    • Coordinating supply orders with a manager
    • Assist in creating schedules for housekeepers and assigning tasks
    • Inspecting housekeeping staff work to maintain high standards
    • Greet customers and answer all questions in a respectful and professional manner
    • Emptying wastebaskets and replacing can liners
    • Vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and waxing floors
    • Washing windows
    • Sanitizing all bathroom surfaces and fixtures
    • Dusting furniture
    • Cleaning air vents
    • Washing and putting away dishes
    • Making beds and changing bed linens
    • Washing, drying and folding linens, towels, and other resort fabrics
    • Other services as requested
