Front Desk / Asst Innkeeper
Supervise the operation of Alaska House restaurant and assist with operation of Historic Skagway Inn during tour of duty. Act as owners representative to the general public and staff. Manage the Rooms department: through the Property Management System, directly supervise and coordinate work activities of housekeeping personnel at Inn. Includes driving Inn van as needed to collect and / or drop off guests at local transportation portals. Provide assistance to the Food & Beverage Department as needed. Room Attendant / Laundry
Room Attendant: complete job description provided prior to interview. Perform any combination of light cleaning duties to maintain private guest rooms and public spaces at the Inn, in a clean and orderly manner. Duties may include making beds, replenishing linens, cleaning rooms and halls, operating laundry machines, folding laundry, vacuuming, and cleaning and servicing bathrooms. This job is based on rooms occupancy and usually 6 - 6 hour days or 36 hours per week.
Retail Sales Associate / Data Entry
Acts as ambassador for store location (primary) and all sister companies by achieving sales goals, through superior customer service. Sales staff is engaged in the profitability of the company by implementing company policies and procedures designed to take great care of our customers. Including service after the sale. Additional duties include light cleaning, receiving and pricing merchandise. Must successfully complete sales training program including knowledge of items & artists we sell.
Enters Invoices and other accounting documents into cloud based computer applications, sets up invoices for payment. Works with figures and personal computers; take phone calls, and emails to understand guest requirements and prepare advance reservations to facilitate their stay with us. Assist in scheduling courtesy Van dispatch; Other clerical Intuit Quickbooks related tasks as necessary. Facility with Personal Computer, we will train for our procedures.
