Fish Filleter
Reports To: General Manager & Processing Manger
Pay Status: Starting at $18/HR - Seasonal Full Time
Schedule: 8-10 hour shifts, Starting between 1PM-4PM depending on the day
*Hours may vary between the slow season and peak season, with more demanding hours during the peak season.*
The Fish Filleter works alongside the Processing Manager to tackle all whole fish. This includes sport caught catches as well as our commercial fish that is prepared to be sold in our market. This is the priority for this role but when there isn't whole fish, time will be spent doing other fish processing tasks. He or she has the following responsibilities:
- Cuts filets into portions, vacuum seals, labels, and racks seafood
- Filets our whole retail Salmon and sport caught Halibut, Salmon, Rockfish, Lingcod, Pacific cod, etc. *prior filleting experience necessary
- Keeps the sanitation of our processing room immaculate at all times.
-Does miscellaneous tasks when there isn't other pending duties
-Operates company vehicle to do fish pick ups
AM Freezer Assistants
Reports To: Freezer Manager & General Manager
Pay Status: Starting at $15/hour - Seasonal Full Time
Schedule: 8 to 10 hour shifts

*Hours depend on the amount of shipments and pick-ups scheduled for that day.*
The AM Assistant is 2nd in command to the Shipping Manager. He or she has the following responsibilities:
- Boxes fish for pick up or shipment.
- Assists clients in loading fish into their car when picking up.
- Maintains friendly customer service.
- Sustains the organization and structure in the freezer.
- Does routine checks on Freezer Temperature.
-Must have drivers license and is confident in operating large vehicle
Weigh-in Station/Retail Clerk
Reports To: Front of house Manager/General Manager
Pay Status: Hourly - $15/Hour - Seasonal Full Time & Part Time
Schedule: 8 hour shifts with the opportunity for overtime, typically 4PM-Close *closing time can vary from 11PM-3AM

*Hours depend on the amount of fish being brought in off the boats*
Customer Service positions at J-Dock Seafood require you to be flexible between the Retail Department and the Weigh-In Station. Below are the responsibilities of our customer service positions:
WEIGH IN STATION
- Checks in customers fish which includes: heavy lifting, weighing and splitting species, setting up individuals orders, and writing tags.
- Greets customers when they arrive.
- Communicates special offers to clients.
- Communicates effectively to each department.
- Functions as a sales person for all of our products and services.
- Helps maintain the cleanliness of the Weigh-In Station.
- Will be trained in processing for when help is needed.
RETAIL STORE
- Operates the register & takes payment.
- Greets customers when they come in.
- Communicates special offers to customers.
- Communicates effectively to each department.
- Functions as a sales person for all of our products and services.
- Restocks seafood, apparel, & merchandise.
- Helps maintain the cleanliness of the Retail Store.
- Will be trained in processing for when help is needed.
Fish Processor
Reports To: Processing Manager/General Manager
Pay Status: Hourly - $15/Hour - Seasonal Full Time & Part Time
Schedule: 8 hour shifts with the opportunity for overtime, typically 4PM-Close *closing time ranges from 11PM-3AM, most commonly we wrap up around midnight
*Hours may vary between the slow season and peak season, with more demanding hours during the peak season.*
*Hours depend on the amount of fish being brought in off the boats*
Our Processing Department primarily functions in the evening, work starting around 4pm and ending when the fish is done being processed. An employee in the processing department has the following responsibilities:
- Portions, cleans, & vacuum seals fish
- Drops fish portions into our conveyor style vacuum sealing machine
- Cleans work space as they go
- Racks and records vacuum sealed fish for the freezer
- Cleans tubs
