    We are seeking an enthusiastic and professional Host to join our team at Jordan Pond House. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, with a strong focus on providing an excellent guest experience. As a Host, you will play a key role in managing guest flow, ensuring smooth seating arrangements, and maintaining communication with both guests and the front-of-house team. The expectation is to provide exemplary customer service to all guests by being proficient in all aspects of FOH operations. Each restaurant associate will be trained in all FOH positions and can be expected to perform distinct roles on any given day to fulfill the needs of the operation. This position offers the opportunity to earn a share in the tip pool.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Seating Management: Greet guests warmly and manage the seating chart, ensuring efficient and timely seating during busy hours.
    • Reservation System Management: Use reservation software such as Resy, OpenTable, or other systems to track guest reservations, waitlists, and seating arrangements.
    • Guest Communication: Maintain clear and professional communication with guests regarding wait times, seating availability, and general inquiries.
    • Tempo Control: Ensure the restaurant operates smoothly by controlling the pace of seating to maintain a balanced flow of guests, avoiding overcrowding or delays.
    • Collaboration: Work closely with servers, kitchen staff, and management to communicate guest needs and special requests.
    • Consistency and Organization: Manage busy environments, consistently seating guests while ensuring high service standards are maintained throughout peak hours.
    • Guest Experience: Ensure that guests are greeted with a friendly and welcoming attitude, making them feel valued and taken care of from the moment they arrive.

    Qualifications:

    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, ideally in busy restaurants with waitlists.

    Public Area Attendant

    Overview:
    Jordan Pond House is looking for a dedicated Public Area Attendant to help maintain our beautiful property, providing a welcoming and pristine environment for our guests. This position requires attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cleanliness, organization, and guest service in a scenic outdoor setting.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Cleanliness and Maintenance: Ensure all public areas, including restrooms, walkways, dining areas, and outdoor spaces, are cleaned and maintained to the highest standards throughout the day.
    • Guest Interaction: Provide courteous and professional service to guests by answering questions, directing them to locations, and ensuring they have a comfortable and enjoyable experience on the property.
    • Parking Lot Assistance: Assist guests with parking in designated areas, ensuring a smooth flow of traffic and guiding guests to available spots.
    • Trash and Recycling Removal: Empty trash cans and recycling bins regularly and ensure waste is disposed of in the proper areas.
    • Restroom Maintenance: Regularly check and clean restrooms, restocking supplies as needed, and maintaining a sanitary and pleasant environment.
    • Detail Cleaning: Clean and sanitize high-touch surfaces, such as handrails, door handles, and benches, ensuring safety and hygiene standards are met.
    • Outdoor Spaces: Maintain outdoor seating areas, ensuring tables and chairs are properly arranged and clean. Assist in setting up and organizing outdoor spaces for guests.
    • Support Staff: Assist other departments (such as food and beverage or retail) with cleaning and maintenance tasks as needed.
    • Safety Awareness: Report any hazards, maintenance needs, or safety concerns to supervisors promptly to ensure a safe environment for both staff and guests.

    Qualifications:

    • Prior experience in cleaning or custodial work is preferred, but not required.
    • Attention to detail and ability to maintain a clean, organized work area.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to ensure cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
    • Strong communication skills and the ability to interact with guests in a friendly and professional manner.

    Kitchen Lead

    $26.00 / hour
    Jordan Pond House in Acadia National Park

    Summary of Position:
    Responsible and accountable for leading the culinary team to execute the restaurant menu, as documented by the Company, to the highest quality standards. Also responsible for completing kitchen performance, quality, health, and safety documentation as required by the Company. Will work closely with the Executive Chef and Restaurant Management to ensure the entire F&B department is working as a cohesive team.


    Responsibilities:

    • Ensures that the menu is being executed as documented and to the highest quality standards.
    • Ensures that all culinary staff adheres to defined company recipes and plate presentation in order to deliver an exceptional guest experience.
    • Ensures culinary team is working as a cohesive unit to provide the highest level of quality and service as defined in the Company Handbook.
    • Responsible for direct leadership, coaching and mentoring of the culinary team in their respective technical responsibilities as to ensure that all kitchen staff is trained in proper cooking techniques and sanitation guidelines.
    • Covers various days off by spending dedicated time and effort on the cooking line ensuring operations continue to meet expectations.
    • Works with management to ensure all new hire and continuous on the job training programs are being followed which includes recipe knowledge, proper cooking techniques, sanitation guidelines, and service standards in order to deliver an exceptional guest experience.
    • Responsible for managing labor costs according to the labor schedules provided by the General Manager.
    • Responsible for assisting the Executive Chef with the compilation and receiving of food orders.
    • Responsible for monitoring the daily COGS sheets and labor costs to company standards.
    • Responsible for compiling, monitoring, and distributing kitchen logs/checklists.
    • Ensure compliance with operational and Corporate standards, company policies, federal/state/local laws and ordinances.

    Housing & Activities Coordinator

    $22.00 - $25.00 / hour
    Jordan Pond House in Acadia National Park

    Title: Housing & Activities Coordinator
    Reports To: General Manager
    Department: Employee Services      

    Summary of Position                                                                                                                                             
    Responsible for the effective and timely coordination and communication of all employee housing assignments at sites controlled or owned by the Company to ensure efficient and effective rooming arrangements for all employees. Also responsible for the coordination and implementation of employee activities. 

    Duties and Responsibilities                                                                                                                                 

    • Work closely with HR and management to identify and facilitate effective room assignments for all employees occupying company-provided housing;
    • Own the Employee Housing Map and keep updated at all times to ensure timely and accurate visibility with those on a need-to-know basis;
    • Work closely with the maintenance team and site management to ensure that all company-provided rooms are clean, in good working condition with clean linens and set up appropriately;
    • Track company assets related to employee housing such as mattresses, linens, furniture items, bicycles, etc. to ensure a complete and appropriate inventory that maximizes employee comfort;
    • Ensure that the company meets/exceeds the legal requirements to achieve licensing permits (if applicable) related to employee housing;
    • Meet and greet all new hires, upon their arrival to the site whenever possible, in a warm and friendly manner, be prepared to conduct tours and assist with move-ins;
    • Communicate with site management so they are aware of new hire arrivals and are prepared to assist with checking new staff into their accommodations;
    • Meet with all departing employees, who occupy employee housing, to conduct room inspections and ensure they are being left in a good and clean condition to effectuate return of housing deposits if applicable;
    • Assist management with scheduled room inspections on a frequent basis, at least monthly, and file reports related to room conditions;
    • Work with site management to create a monthly employee activities calendar that engages employees outside of work hours to provide a fun and relaxing experience;
    • Be the “go to” resource for employees with questions or concerns related to employee housing;


    Position Requirements

    Jordan Pond House in Acadia National Park

    Summary of Position: Responsible for transporting employees between the Company’s properties and stop areas in a safe manner according to the Company Driver Agreement Policy.

    Responsibilities:

    ● Transport employees between the Company’s properties and designated stop areas in a safe and efficient manner

    ● Provides highest level of customer service and give assistance if necessary

    ● Be knowledgeable and helpful to passengers and guests as to schedules and services

    ● Strictly follow Company’s lost and found program

    ● Ensure vehicle is clean, fueled, and in safe working condition, noting any issues to Manager; performs pre & post shift vehicle inspections using Company inspection Forms and Vehicle Logs

    ● Understand company’s ISO (Environmental & Quality) management systems, policies, goals, and initiatives and meet the specific responsibilities within these areas.

    ● Adherence to associated Duties Checklist and other related duties as assigned Position Requirements

    Retail

    Warehouse Associate

    $16.50 / hour

    Summary of Position:
    Responsible for receiving, tagging and maintaining retail inventory and storage for the Company’s stores to ensure that they operate efficiently and with the highest level of customer service. Maintain the warehouse in an organized and clean manner.
     

    Responsibilities:

    • Receive all inbound shipments accurately and input into Retail Pro system (item count, logged, inspected for external damage)
    • Tag and store all inbound merchandise
    • Assist in ensuring that warehouse inventory is tracked and recorded accurately so that replenishment orders are placed in a timely manner; this is done in conjunction with use of Retail Pro reports
    • Assist in ensuring proper logistics of replenishment stock
    • Assist in ensuring that time sensitive (e.g. deli items and packaged food items) are rotated daily and disposed of appropriately when reaching shelf life
    • Assist the Retail Supervisor and/or Retail Manager in ensuring that all invoices and vouchers are coded and processed in a timely manner, meeting the Company’s payables requirements
    • Manage and maintain the warehouse, ensuring it is neat and organized, and easily accessible to other staff
    • Package and ship all retail outgoing shipments in a timely manner according to Company expectations
    • Understand ISO (Quality and Environmental) management systems, policies, goals, and initiatives and meet the specific responsibilities within these areas (such as packaging reuse/recycling)
    • Actively participate in the Company’s environmental program; always reducing, reusing and recycling all packaging materials whenever possible
    • Actively foster a positive work environment with a focus on teamwork

    • Greet customers within 30 seconds of entering the store & provide friendly customer service
    • Achieve and maintain product knowledge to assist customers with purchasing decisions
    • Guide and direct customers to appropriate products of interest and answer related inquiries
    • Assist customers with all park related inquiries (utilizing approved NPS interpretive information)

    Summary of Position:

    • Assists the F&B Manager in the recruiting, interviewing and hiring of the restaurant service team
    • Works with the Leads to ensure all new hire and continuous on the job training programs are being followed which includes cross training, proper use of Micros, menus, sanitation guidelines, and service standards in order to deliver an exceptional guest experience

    ● Adhere to the Company’s dishwashing procedures to ensure that all expectations regarding the cleaning, sanitizing and storing of dishware and utensils are met

    ● Work closely as a team with back of house kitchen staff to ensure that all kitchenware is cleaned in a timely, safe and efficient manner

    ● Organize items as they are cleaned, restock areas where items are stored

    ● Maintain cleanliness of work station, kitchen and food storage areas

    ● Complete daily and weekly cleaning assignments with a variety of guest questions and requests

    ● Follow all procedures outlined in department and health and safety manuals in accordance with company policies and follow proper use and storage of chemicals used to clean kitchen items

    ● Understand Company ISO (Environmental & Quality) management systems, policies, goals, and initiatives and meet the specific responsibilities within these areas
