The Operations Manager plans and directs operations and improves productivity and efficiency by coordinating the daily operations of Alaska Amphibious Tours and Alaska Hummer Adventures.
Responsibilities include:
Coordination, management, and monitoring of the workings of the Ketchikan Duck Tour & Hummer Tours; financial review of statements and data to improve profitability; prepare and control operational budgets; monitor inventory, plan effective strategies for the well-being of the company.
Improve processes and policies in support of organizational goals; formulate and implement departmental and organizational policies and procedures to maximize output; monitor adherence to rules, regulations, and procedures.
Human Resources- organize recruitment and placement of required staff and 2025 crew; delegate tasks and accountabilities; establish work schedules; supervise staff, monitor and evaluate performance.
Communications- monitor, manage, and improve the efficiency of support services such as IT, HR, accounts, and finance.
Sales, Marketing, and Customer Service- plan and support sales and marketing activities.
Strategic Input- liaison with top management; assist in the development of strategic plans for operational activity; implement and manage operational plans.
Familiarity with Humanity- an employee scheduling software; Fareharbor reservation system; and Quickbooks accounting software.
Preferred Education & Experience
College degree in business administration, commerce, and management
Industry-relevant experience
Knowledge and experience in organizational effectiveness and operations management
Knowledge of business and management principles and practices
