Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The Baker is responsible for producing high-quality baked goods to meet customer demands. The role involves mixing ingredients, preparing dough, baking pastries, and ensuring food safety and sanitation guidelines are met. The Baker also helps maintain and stock baking supplies, ensuring a smooth and efficient baking process.

• Prepare and mix dough, batters, and fillings for various baked goods, following recipes and quality standards.
• Bake and decorate pastries, such as cakes, cookies, bread, and muffins, ensuring they are visually appealing and of consistent quality.
• Monitor oven temperatures and adjust as needed to ensure baked goods are baked to perfection.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, following all food safety and sanitation regulations.
• Monitor inventory levels of baking supplies, such as flour, sugar, and other ingredients, and order replacements as needed.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or problems that may arise during the baking process.
• Collaborate with the production team to ensure timely delivery of baked goods to customers.
• Follow established portion sizes and presentation standards for baked goods.

The Badlands Emporium Clerk plays a vital role in supporting the Retail Manager with the day-to-day operations of the gift shop. While working independently, the Clerk helps maintain product displays, processes transactions, restocks shelves, and provides exceptional service to guests. They assist with inventory management, ensuring that products are properly stocked and accounted for. The Clerk also contributes to achieving the store’s sales goals by promoting customer satisfaction and product knowledge. Their attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and collaboration with the Retail Manager are essential in upholding the Emporium’s high standards. This role is independent but requires teamwork, precision, and a commitment to the store’s success.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities for the Badlands Emporium Clerk include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Provide an exceptional guest experience: Deliver top-notch customer service by greeting guests, addressing inquiries, and assisting with product selections.
• Open and close the store in a timely manner: Ensure the store is properly opened and closed, adhering to schedules and operational procedures.
• Cashiering: Process transactions accurately, including exchanges and returns, while providing a seamless checkout experience.
• Completing daily and weekly checklists consistently: Follow and complete daily and weekly tasks to maintain the store’s smooth operations.

• Implement company programs and manage the operations of the restaurant, bar, and any other food and beverage outlet as required to ensure compliance with SOPs, safety regulations, and federal, state, and local regulations to ensure an optimal level of service, quality, and hospitality are provided to the guest(s).
• Respond to customer trends, needs, issues, comments, and problems to ensure a quality experience and enhance future sales prospects.
• Create, recommend and implement promotions, displays, buffet presentations, and ideas to capture more in-house guests and a larger share of the local market.
• Monitor and control the maintenance/sanitation of the various outlet areas and equipment to protect the assets, comply with regulations, and ensure quality service.
• Monitor and control inventory for restaurant, bar, and other food and beverage outlets as required to ensure accurate counts are completed by the designated deadlines.
• Assist Food and Beverage Director as requested.

Duties

• The position is responsible for short-term planning and day-to-day operations of the kitchen
• Recommends menu and procedural changes
• Performs all essential functions while adhering to all SOPs and future food programs to ensure a consistent, quality product
• Plan and manage the procurement, production, preparation, and presentation of all food in the hotel in a safe, sanitary, cost-effective manner
• Monitor and control the maintenance/sanitation of kitchen, equipment, and related areas to ensure a healthy, safe work environment that meets/exceeds federal, state, standards and regulations
• Develop and implement menus and back-up (use records, production lists, pars, training, etc.) within guidelines to continually improve revenues and profit margins while maintaining quality

HVAC positions are NOT seasonal positions.

Performs a variety of standard to moderately complex technical tasks related to installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, cooling, ventilation and related systems.

Duties:

• Helps investigate problems and perform maintenance and repairs on various mechanical and electrical equipment including, but not limited to, heating, cooling, and ventilation systems, and refrigeration for commercial equipment.
• Locates, picks up and delivers parts required for department needs
• Checks and changes air filters on a regular basis
• Assesses drain problems and performs any needed repairs
• Assists with parts ordering and confirming receipt of orders and deliveries
• Administrative duties will increase with additional training and responsibilities as technician grows in skill

The essential duties and responsibilities for this position are:

• Clearing all used tableware and napkins from tables to tubs in bus station. Wipe table, chairs, and clear debris and crumbs from floor areas surrounding table. 
• Resets the tables in accordance with established standards in order to seat new customers as quickly as possible.  Remove full tubs from bus stations to dishwashing area for cleaning, and maintain a clean, well-stocked and orderly bus station at all times in order to improve efficiency and productivity. 
• Retrieve cleaned dishes, glassware and utensils from the dish room and distribute to each service station in order to keep a ready supply available for restaurant use. 
• Sweep restaurant floors throughout shift to maintain a clean, presentable and attractive restaurant.  Vacuum carpeting and mop hard floors at the end of each shift. 
• Retrieve clean linens from laundry department at beginning of shift and during shift when necessary, and folding as specified by established standards.  Stocking correct par levels in the service stations.  Deliver bundles of soiled linen to laundry room at end of each shift. 
• Retrieve items from stockroom, ensuring requisition is complete and correct.  Stocking supplies in proper places, rotating stock at all times. 
• Assist wait staff by refilling customer’s beverages and accommodating requests for additional condiments, food items or clean/fresh tableware. 
• Keep ice stations filled at all times by carrying buckets of ice from the main ice machine and pouring into individual ice stations. 
  Keep a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times. 
• Checks all restrooms periodically, alerting the Housekeeping Department if they are not clean or in need of supplies. 

Perform other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by management. 

Seeking individuals with a passion for service that enjoys working with people and is interested or have experience in a resort Food and Beverage setting.  The Host position is the first and last person our guest sees as they enter or exit our F&B locations.  This is a high-energy role that greets our guests, handles reservations, and seats our customers in our F&B locations.  Training possibilities for waitstaff positions while in this position are possible.  Must be able to work varying shifts, including nights/holidays/weekends/double and split shifts. 

Duties

• Meets arriving customers as they enter the restaurant with a cordial greeting.
• Escorts to assigned tables, issues menus, and solicits rapport in order to accommodate special needs or requests.
• Assigns sections and notifies servers of new seats in their section to ensure the customers receive immediate and proper attention.
• Maintains a highly visible appearance in the restaurant during the entire shift by remaining at the cashier station and periodically circulating through the restaurant in order to assist servers, respond to any customer requests, and assess the efficiency of the operation for management.
• Receives payment and processes the transaction on the computerized cash register, counting back change out loud for the protection of guests and restaurant.
• Verifies accuracy of all items on guest checks by confirming correct pricing, discounts, and method of payment.
• Elicits feedback from departing customers on products and services in order to improve the operation to increase customer base and maximize revenues. Takes written notes in order to report comments to management.
• Maintains a clean and attractive restaurant by assisting with vacuuming, sweeping, general cleaning, and side work duties. Checks the proper set-up of tables and seating prior to opening.
• Exhibits a professional appearance and maintains a friendly, cheerful, and courteous demeanor at all times.

Summary:

Service of food and/or beverage to include the order-taking and delivery of any food and/or beverage items. This task is to be handled in a friendly, courteous, helpful, timely, and professional manner resulting in a very high level of guest satisfaction.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Check station before, during and after shift for proper set-up and cleanliness.
• Greet the guest in a friendly and courteous manner and explain any specials and/or restaurant promotions for guest awareness.
• Record the details of the order from the guest, repeating the order to the guest to check for accuracy.
• Input the order into the point of sale computer to inform the kitchen of the particulars in the order being placed.
• When complete, retrieve order up to 30lbs. from the kitchen, confirm its accuracy, lift and deliver to guest along with appropriate condiments. Abide by State, Federal, and Corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests.
• Replenish beverages as necessary and check with guests for overall satisfaction.
• Market and serve upon request any dessert items or specialty coffees.
• Present the check to guest promptly.
• Regular Attendance in conformation with standards, which may be established by
  Lajitas Golf Resort from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position. Associates with irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.

Support Functions:

• Assist with the bussing help in clearing and resetting the tables.
• Perform all assigned side work to include replenishing condiments and restocking side stands.
• Perform any general cleaning tasks using standard hotel cleaning products as assigned to adhere to health standards.

We are seeking hospitality driven individuals that enjoy providing outstanding service for our guests.  This position is responsible for cleaning guest rooms, public areas, private homes, and offices on the entire resort property.  Must be able to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays; have reliable transportation, and lift up to 50 pounds.

For this position, you must be bilingual in English and Spanish.

Supervises and directs all hotel housekeeping operations, and hotel common area maintenance, and supervises the laundry operation. 

• Work with the Housekeeping Supervisor and Assistant to check all vacant rooms each day to ensure cleanliness standards are being met, i.e., the last check for “First Impression”- drapes/blinds, beds & skirts, chairs, lamps, towels, toiletries, carpet/floor, and halls are clear of equipment and trash.
• Maintain accurate/ organized records of discrepancies found in guest rooms in order to use for training purposes.
• Ensure that all housekeeping closets are stocked with linen and supplies prior to leaving for the day.
• Assist in training new housekeepers
• Assist staff in cleaning and maintaining the hotel when needed
• Deliver excellent Guest and Member experience while monitoring housekeeping standards.
• Inspects and evaluates the physical condition the of establishment,
• Report potential dangers including suspicious behavior, broken glass, leaks, and electrical issues.
• Submits to management recommendations for painting, repairs, furnishings, relocation of equipment, and reallocation of space.
• Ensure all guest supplies are replenished daily
• Ensure that all alarms are off on the room clocks
• Verify items in guestroom are in good working order including TVs, lights, radio/clocks, hair dryer, coffee makers, A/C, and heat.
• Inspects the work of housekeepers to ensure quality.
• Will be on call on the days the housekeeping supervisor/assistant is off

• Ensure that a supply of clean linen is available for all operating departments
• Oversees and directs laundry attendants to ensure all dirty linens and trash from rooms is picked up on a routine schedule.
• Required to work directly with supervisors to ensure all needs of housekeepers are being met.
• Maintain a clean and organized laundry room.
• Monitor min/max items to insure that are in stock at all times.

• Picking and setting practice balls on the driving range
