Transportation Specialist

Maine State Sea Kayak is focused on promoting and encouraging people to experience nature.  In order to achieve this goal each staff member needs to have a strong knowledge of the areas we paddle to share with our guests.  That knowledge should include proper routes to take, etiquette on the water and beaches we are allowed to use, the natural history of the area and information of the wildlife that inhabits the area.  All interactions between staff and guests should be professional and centered on providing the best possible experience for each and every guest.

The focus of the transportation specialist is to ensure all guests are transported safely to and from the put-in and take-out sites in a comfortable and clean environment.  The transportation specialist should be comfortable driving a 15 passenger van with a trailer of kayaks attached.  The transportation specialist is also responsible for the condition of the kayaks.
