    Project Manager

    $33.00 / hour

    The Project Manager will manage and support the timely delivery and execution of contract proposal commitments and deliverables consisting of specific contract requirements and deferred maintenance projects.  This position requires attention to detail, strong relationship skills, an ability to prioritize competing demands on time, and project management experience.

    Accounting

    Accounting Analyst

    $28.00 / hour
    Ashford Office

    Support Accounting processes and Payroll. Ensure accounting practices within the operation are conducted in an accurate and timely manner. This position reports to the Accounting Manager.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

     

    • Ensure credit card disputes and duplicate charges by coordinating with guests and financial establishment, and provide pertinent information as needed
    • Assist units with cash reports as needed, including entering, identifying, investigating and fixing errors.  Ensure that all cash reports and related documents follow corporate requirements.
    • Assist with processing payroll bi-weekly.
    • Control and ensure the timely processing, payment, and verification of invoices and account codes.
    • Order office supplies and forms, regulate distribution and maintain inventory of supplies.
    • Schedule maintenance of office machines/equipment.  Keep maintenance contract information.
    • Compile and update accounting department training manuals.
    • Troubleshoot and assist in problem solving with employees at other locations and departments relating to transactions.
    • Assist in training key personnel and managers on the systems use and paperwork process.
    • When IT specialist is not available, coordinate with corporate IT support to assist in fixing software issues within the park and follow up to make sure issue is resolved.
    • Identify and investigate mistakes in cash reports and conduct the necessary process to fix them with corporate.
    • Enter cash reports for departments and locations that have issues win entering their reports.
    • Uphold to corporate requirements and send copies of all cash reports, deposit tickets, deposit logs, and credit card settlements.
    • Performs other related duties as directed or required.

     

    Housekeeping

    Assistant Housekeeping Manager

    $23.75 / hour
    Paradise Inn

    Under the direction of the Housekeeping Manager, assist in the management of all aspects of the housekeeping function at Paradise Inn to maintain a consistently high standard of cleanliness in guest rooms and public areas.  Assist in the supervision of Housekeeper staff to ensure tasks are completed in safe and efficient manner.  Manage the department in the absence of the Manager.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    • Monitor, problem solve, and direct workers to ensure efficient and safe completion of all housekeeping tasks daily
    • Train and on-board new staff on safety and procedures
    • Communicate regularly and professionally with numerous people including general manager, front desk staff, warehouse manager, and laundry staff to ensure efficient completion of rooms and smooth rotation of guest linens
    • Attend and participate in and safety meetings
    • Participate in and give working direction for pre and post season setup / teardown of hotel rooms and related areas
    • Manage staff appropriately to enforce standards and minimize personnel conflicts

    Transport property and merchandise to and from Ashford warehouse and park operating units in a DOT regulated vehicle.  Assist in warehouse and laundry as needed.  Occasionally drive vehicles to other locations in park region.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    • Drive truck to assigned jobs, and successfully complete customer requests in a timely manner. 
    • Pre and post trip inspect Commercial Motor Vehicles.
    • Put empty carts and pallets in trailer.
    • Deliver product to destination. Travel both over the road and regional distances.
    • Maintain safe vehicle and conditions. Protect load by complying with organization policies and procedures and highway rules and regulations.
    • Maintain records by completing driver log; obtaining shipper and receiver authorizations; filing documents

    SKILL AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE

    At several kitchen stations, prepare, cook, and serve food in a three meals per day Dining Room that are nutritious, safe, wholesome, eye appealing, delicious, and meet recipe and food cost specifications.

    • Clean kitchen area throughout the day, including sweeping and mopping
    • Record temperatures of all refrigeration equipment and report problems as needed to kitchen management
    • Deliver food orders and cooking supplies as requested
    • Empty, clean, and refill all sanitizing buckets according to company procedure

    Responsible for all aspects of Dining Room operations and floor management of busy 200 seat three meals per day restaurant.  Manage food, beverage, equipment, and property to fulfill financial goals and company incentives.  Control and manage all aspects of the restaurant operation to maintain a consistently high standard of guest service, cleanliness, product presentation, and cost control.   Supervise Assistant Dining Room Managers, Servers, Bussers, Hosts, and Bartender to ensure tasks are completed in a friendly, safe and efficient manner.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    Provide guests with a dining experience appropriate to historic dining room in the national park. Greet, take food and drink orders from and serve all guests in assigned section of dining room in a fast, courteous, professional, and efficient manner. Ensure correct billing procedures and provide excellent service to guests, ensuring level of service meets the company’s standards. May be scheduled for any or all of all three meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner).

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    • Greet guests promptly and politely; answer questions about the menu, take food and beverage orders
    • Check patron identification to ensure compliance with alcoholic beverage service requirements
    • Explain how various items are prepared, describe ingredients and cooking methods, suggest menu items
    • Maintain pleasant dining experience by serving food and beverages in a friendly and efficient manner, checking on
    • guests regularly, communicating with kitchen, and attending to guest needs
    • Carry plates, glassware, and trays to/from tables in manner prescribed by management

    • Clean and ensure bathtubs, tub ledges, sinks, vanity shelves, toilets, bathroom scales, tissue box covers, and soap dishes are spot, mold, mildew, and dust free. 
    • Sweep and mop all bathroom floors.
    • Dust all lights and sconces, make-up mirrors, and lampshades.
    • Perform laundry duties as assigned. Move dirty linens and garbage to assigned area.
    • Stock linen closets with clean linen throughout the day.
    • Report needed repairs and turn in lost & found items to housekeeping manager.
    • Notify Supervisor of all quality control issues or needed repairs pertaining to the housekeeping of the facility.

    Under supervision of the General Manager and Location Manager, assist in the daily operation of the gift shop to maintain a consistently high standard of guest service, cleanliness, product presentation, and cost control.  Complete guest transactions and assist clerks with voids, corrections and related special situations. Supervise Retail Clerks to ensure tasks are completed in a friendly, safe and efficient manner.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    • Monitor, problem solve, and supervise workers to ensure efficient and safe completion of all tasks daily.
    • Train hourly staff for peak performance and monitor staff’s development.
    • Complete sales in POS in an accurate, efficient and friendly manner; assist clerks with same.
    • Ensure complete guest satisfaction at all times.  Handle guests’ complaints and solve them according to customer service standards and completing sales on register.
    • Maintain store displays daily through stock rotation, cleaning, and organizing.
    • Maintain and ensure safe facility environment including standards for maintenance and upkeep of unit’s equipment, inventory, housekeeping, sanitation, cash control, dress, and employee hygiene. 
    • Notify General Manager of all unusual events, circumstances, or other safety or quality control issues.
    • Assist management team with inventory procedures as directed. 
    • Perform opening and/or closing procedures.
    • Maintain awareness of safety issues and report them immediately to your manager. 
    • Receive and verify quantities of food stock and merchandise, organize and stock store, set displays.
    • Assist in maintenance of department records such as schedules, payroll, deposits, and daily cash reports.
    • Performs such other related duties as directed or required.

    SKILL AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE

    • High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
    • ServeSafe Manager and MAST/TIPS Certifications required. 
    • National Park gift shop and/or food service experience strongly preferred. At least 1-2 years of experience in retail. Supervisory experience preferred.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    • Greet guests promptly and politely; answer questions about the menu, take food and beverage orders
    • Check patron identification to ensure compliance with alcoholic beverage service requirements
    • Explain how various items are prepared, describe ingredients and cooking methods, suggest menu items
    • Maintain pleasant dining experience by serving food and beverages in a friendly and efficient manner, checking on guests regularly, communicating with kitchen, and attending to guest needs
    • Carry plates, glassware, and trays to/from tables in manner prescribed by management

    • Drive 14 passenger van on a daily basis
    • Perform vehicle pre-trip safety inspection; maintain vehicle log trip

    • Monitor arrival, process, and distribute all retail merchandise to and from warehouse
    • Enter purchase orders and assist in retail data base maintenance; ticket, handle, and pack merchandise
    • Complete reports related to damages/shortages, returned merchandise, etc.
    • Assist in store set up and tear down at season beginning and end, and product merchandising

    Human Resources

    Medical/Safety Officer

    Hold primary responsibility to provide basic medical services for employees, conduct drug testing for employees, conduct safety training and inspections, and assist with Worker’s Compensation claims.  Work under direction of Human Resources Manager and in close coordination with HR Assistant Manager & Safety Coordinator.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    • Provide basic medical intake and service for employees, assess whether to refer for further medical services
    • Conduct pre-employment, random, post-accident, and reasonable suspicion drug tests
    • Perform regular inventories, restocking, and inspections of fire extinguishers, first aid kits, etc.
    • Under direction of HR Asst. Manager and Human Resources Manager, provide safety training for employees, including monthly safety meetings and Blood Borne Pathogen training
    • Assist with paperwork administration and investigations for Worker’s Compensation claims

    The Rainier Guest Services Park Chef leads culinary operations across all RGS food service locations, ensuring culinary excellence, a commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences, and high sanitation practices. The Park Chef will oversee menu development, staff training, and kitchen operations, ensuring consistency and quality across all venues. Ensures that all kitchen productions are nutritious, safe, eye appealing and properly flavored. Maintains a safe and sanitary work environment for all employees.  May act as the Executive Chef at the Paradise Inn during the summer season. This position reports to the Operations Manager.
