Learn new skills in gardening and farming, live in a community of like-minded people, eat homegrown vegetarian food, help with cooking and food preservation.  Includes Buddhist classes, study and practice, mantra and more.


Seeking people passionate about getting their hands in the dirt and learning the arts of growing, cooking  and preserving home-grown food. You need to be strong, able to bend, lift up to 50 lbs., be on your knees, engage manual labor for hours a day.  You work with our head gardener gaining experience with vegetables and herbs.

REQUIREMENTS:

You are strong, able to do manual work for hours each day, and  work with small gardening machines and tools.

You can make a minimum commitment of 4 months.

This is a unique opportunity to live within a long-standing Buddhist community. The way of life at Odiyan is a retreat-like environment dedicated to meaningful work. You will also participate in kitchen work, cooking and preserving, and helping with the upkeep and beatification of the Center.
