About Oregon Museum of Science and Industry
Join the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry (OMSI) and provide transformative outdoor education experiences to students and campers! OMSI operates one of the largest museum-based outdoor science education programs in the country, and has been running outdoor education programming since the 1950s.
We have two camp locations: Camp Gray in Newport, Oregon, and Hancock Field Station located outside Fossil, Oregon. Working with OMSI, staff have the opportunity to explore the natural beauty Oregon has to offer across the state. Programming runs from February through early November and includes spring outdoor school, summer camp, and fall outdoor school.
OMSI's mission is to inspire curiosity through engaging science learning experiences, foster experimentation and the exchange of ideas, and stimulate informed action.
Our values are learning, collaboration, belonging, and stewardship. Learn more about our mission and values here.
The Employee Experience
Staff live, work, and play in some of Oregon's most beautiful landscapes, from the forests, beaches, and dunes of the Pacific coast at Camp Gray, to the canyons, John Day River, and fossil and archaeology sites of the central Oregon desert at Hancock Field Station. They create life-changing experiences and memories that last a lifetime.
We value an intentional and inclusive community at camp. You are welcome here: OMSI respects, values, and celebrates the unique attributes, characteristics and perspectives that make each person who they are. We believe that we will be successful in accomplishing our mission and vision when we seek out and respond to diversity of participation, thought, and action.
